I just saw the stat as "the only European to have scored at the last six major tournaments" and that is a very stupid stat when this tournament has had each team play maximum two matches so far - and Portugal have yet to play a second. Like you said, Ronaldo has scored at every Euros and World Cup since 2004. 9 tournaments total, I believe?

I was going to feel sorry for Slovenia, but now their fans are throwing stuff as well. What is the matter with people.

Well I caught the last 10 minutes. Quite the group stage we've had.

It's a good thing the group matches have been so good because it makes up for what I think is a bad format. With six of the eight third-placed teams qualifying for the next round, there's so much more margin for error, which makes the matches themselves feel less significant than before.

The insistence on starting Trent in midfield is certainly something after last time. Hopefully he gels better this time around.

A draw will probably be good enough for England to reach the next round. I'd like to see them win all their group matches, however, because they never manage that.
