therockbox
Great cup tie. Lower league team coming back from the dead, a missed penalty, comedy own goal, shit pitch invader. It's had everything.
Baddar
That Sterling free kick 🤣
stokeriño
It's a tricky freekick to take that close, but holy shit Sterling just fails SO spectacularly. Mudryk taken off rather than Sterling and the home fans are audibly livid.
Baddar
But Pearce and Keown think they're booing Mudryk and had no idea of the red card/double jeopardy rules surrounding the FK instead of the pen.
Szumi
Wasted way too many chances to put this match to bed, frustrated that. And to let a League Two level player equalize of all things!
Bobfoc
This is all a bit dramatic.
Hobo
Liverpool didn't do enough to kill this game off.
Bobfoc
Rashford found a good way to avoid a VAR check there by missing a sitter.

Bobfoc
This is a match that both teams would kick themselves for losing.
Szumi
Liverpool have absolutely bottled this. Just a series of ridiculously stupid mental mistakes.
Bobfoc
Looks as though it's just Man City and three minnows left.
Baddar
Amad! Had no right winning that after we fell apart in the first half.

Just a series of ridiculously stupid mental mistakes. don't really like the term "bottling" to be honest Liverpool didn't take their chances and the players looked a bit tired towards the end of the game. we can talk about how bad Man Utd are now but naturally, they're going to raise their game against Liverpool, who've just played their third game in a week, and this one is probably the less important one of the three.
Baddar
Least important game when you were already about 12 goals ahead against Prague 🤣 1

Blowing a lead twice because of very foolish mistakes and conceding a goal at the death from your own corner kick...I don't know what else you can call that! Fair play to Manchester United for getting back into it and keep going, and it is nice to see a huge flop like Antony and fringe player like Diallo to get goals. The hope for Liverpool is that no one comes back healthy from the international break, and that this performance wasn't the start of players showing how physically and mentally exhaustion. I'd call it shit happening. You can't win every game. Sometimes you have bad days. That's just the way it goes. 49 minutes ago, Baddar said: Least important game when you were already about 12 goals ahead against Prague 🤣 I mean in the sense that the FA Cup is not as important. From a pure prize money perspective, you get more for reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League than you do from winning the FA Cup. It's nice to get far in the FA Cup but the Europa League and the Premier League as more important. The Europa is very winnable for Liverpool. The FA Cup will probably be won by Man City at this point. And maybe Man City playing more games is good for Liverpool's league chances. Probably not but you never know. *shrug*
DavidMarrio
Game should have been abadoned purely for that "get stuck in lads banner" in the United end 1
