Adam
Colton Herta is going to replace Gasly at Alpha Tauri, if he can be given a superlicence exemption.
METALMAN
Oh I don't know much about this guy but his hair annoys me. Although according to his Wiki he is the drummer in a punk rock band and I quite like that. I never liked Gasly.
JasonM
As @Adam mentioned, here's the rumour from Chris Medland, one of the bigger and more legit sources for paddock news/rumours.
Chris2K
At this point I assume the Red Bull Juniors programme only exists to have some Red Bull advertising billboards driving around in F2 and F3.
Admin Lineker Posted September 4, 2022 Author Admin Report Share Posted September 4, 2022 The FIA will fudge the requirements somehow to allow Herta to race.

There's no reason why they shouldn't, to be honest. I'm not sure how they work out the superlicence points but IndyCar is the second highest profile single-seater in the world after F1. I do wonder if this move adds credence to the rumours that Red Bull may sell the Faenza entry to Andretti Autosport in the near future.

METALMAN
So weird De Vries has gone all this time without getting a proper seat. He’s done so well so far.
Chris2K
Finishing under the safety car would be what this race deserves.
Bobfoc
Obviously, it's impressive that Verstappen always wins no matter where he starts on the grid, but it's really making me less interested in tuning in.
METALMAN
That was Verstappen’s 11th win of the season. And the record is 13. Would expect him to break that fairly easily.
Chris2K
Things went sideways for Albon during his appendectomy, causing him to suffer respiratory failure and spend the night in intensive care. He seems to be alright now, but that's pretty scary for a minor operation.
Chris2K
Apparently soon to be confirmed: Gasly to Alpine Nyck de Vries to Alpha Tauri.
Bobfoc
So Alpine will be a French team with a French engine and two French drivers. If only they could bring back Michelin tyres.

Bobfoc
We say this every year, but that's a lot of races. 24 seems like too many.
Chris2K
I'm up to 2006 in my F1 re-watch, and at the opening race in Bahrain Steve Ryder and Mark Blundell were discussing how the calendar was getting too crowded and it would be having a big effect on the teams being away from home for so long. That was an 18 race calendar.
