Chris2K
So the driver who had the third fastest time in qualifying and finished second in the sprint race is on pole position. F1 sure does love to be unnecessarily confusing.
Admin Lineker Posted September 11, 2021 Author Admin Report Share Posted September 11, 2021 I don’t like sprint qualifying. The cons outweigh the pros.
METALMAN
I liked the Silverstone one but this one was very boring.
Chris2K
I hated the concept before it started and haven't changed my mind. But hearing Ross Brawn saying how exciting the Monza sprint race is before its even started is a clear sign that it isn't going away.
Chris2K
Well that is quite an incident. It's yours to lose Danny Ric!
Gazz
Nothing in that for me. Side by side when Max hits the kerb, which launches him into Lewis. Nothing either driver could do.
Chris2K
The worst case scenario is Bottas winning and doing his "to whom it may concern" bullshit when he's done nothing all season. Ricciardo, Leclerc or Norris winning would be fantastic.

Chris2K
On a couple of occasions when he's won, usually very soon after he's been described as a second driver at Mercedes, his post-race radio message has been "to whom it may concern, fuck you". The first time was funny, the second time was "heh, he said that again. Cool." He has no grounds for a third time after this season. This race has been a thousand times better than yesterday, almost as if they're not trying as hard during a sprint race that means very little.
METALMAN
Oh really? That’s a bit dumb. Let’s get a win for Ricciardo, Norris or Leclerc then.
Chris2K
I think it's going to be Bottas due to the medium tyres, once he gets past these three he'll be able to defend the rest of the race. EDIT: Silly me, I should have known better than to expect Bottas to actually make something of his advantage.
Chris2K
It's being reported Max will get a 3 place penalty in Sochi for the collision. More importantly, it happened!
Slogger
TRIPLE SHOEYS BOIZ! I'm legit still buzzing, I joked with my housemates that Danny would beat Max off the line and drive off into the sunset. But I didn't think it would actually happen. 😍 I also didn't call Max power topping Lewis either but here we are.
