Chris2K
That barrier seems to have a Williams magnet on it. Norris out in Q2, crazy how he has no pace around Zandvoort.
JasonM
Stonker lap from Max and Lewis at the end there. But Gasly and Gio getting their cars in 4th and 7th is absolutely immense performance. Gio putting the Alfa not just into Q3 (and somewhat saved in the end by Latifi's crash, since he was stuck in the pits with a wheel nut failure), but he outraced the Alpines and Ricciardo in the end. Stellar stuff. The race is probably going to be less exciting bar a few crashes, but that + Spa Q3 was one of the most exciting quali's in a long while.

Chris2K
With all the talk of Bottas and Albon, it would be a real shame if Giovanazzi wasn't on the grid next year.

You'd feel that Alfa or Ferrari would put in some efforts to keep him on the grid. Might not be the best talent they have, but he's still arguably the best Italian driver they have right now and there's no real big talents in the pipeline either. Sure, they have Ferrari and anyone who performs well for Ferrari is basically a honorary Italian in the Tifosi's book, but Giovinazzi has performed more than admirably in the Alfa Romeo despite it being a bottom tier car. And days like these show that he has legit pace in him.
Chris2K
I find it very difficult to understand what the thinking behind that was. I wonder if Seb's willingness to stick his neck out to support worthy causes is ruffling feathers, because his driving has been superb recently. Chris2K
These idiots and their flares. They should postpone the race until its clear, just to serve them right.

Chris2K
Zandvoort seems like a very nice race track to drive on, but a terrible track to watch a race on. Like Monte Carlo, if Monte Carlo was a very nice track to drive on.

Chris2K
It's really weird that their choreographing these announcements to make it look like Bottas is opting to join Alfa Romeo, and Mercedes are "filling the vacancy" by bringing George in. I assume it's being done to protect Valtteri, but nobody is ever going to think anything other than he's being replaced.
Mad Jack
I wonder if Assen would've been a better track than Zandvoort for that race.

No, but if It helps Bottas feel better then they need to do everything they can so he’ll continue to follow team orders. I say continue. We already saw him going into business for himself on Sunday! More of that Bottas please.

Chris2K
Lewis vs. George should be great. Just watch now though as the Williams 2022 car becomes the dominant entry, with world champion Nicholas Latifi.
