They just weren't good enough this year.  Starting off with cheaping out on the quarterback, who can't throw it deep.  Having no #1 receiver.  A suspect defensive line and trash LBs.

I was hoping the Pats would be somewhat competitive, like 9-7 and in the running for a Wild Card spot.  But nope.

Last year they started 8-0, playing against a lot of garbage opponents.  Then finished 4-5, which seemed more indicative of how the team really was/is.

Kyler fumbled and got away with it, only for Hopkins to fumble on the next play. Then Hurts should have been picked on 2nd down of their first drive and then he got called for Grounding in the end zone and gave up a Safety on the next play.

You can pretty much pinpoint Cam’s COVID diagnosis as the moment when the season fell apart.  Not only did it kickstart a losing streak, but he just lost all the swagger he had the first couple of weeks.  He went from looking like a great bargain signing playing for a big contract to looking like someone who won’t be more than a backup the rest of his career.

I wouldn't be shocked if this it for Cam. He's looked terrible, backup jobs usually go to vets who don't "have it" anymore but it's so hard to say he would be the guy you'd want versus someone who is more suited to just picking up any playbook and being average.
