  1. Playing a Baseball tournie in New York. Only Canadian draw in the tournament field of 16, we decide to play one of our games only in French. While playing at first and chatting with the short stop between plays, I was politely asked by a baserunner to "Quit speakin' that nigger mexican bullshit!" We crushed the inferior American team 11-3.
  2. Habs-Edmonton game was intense. Edmonton dominated the second half of the first period(which is becomming a habit of Montreal) and Abby made some big saves to keep us in the game. The knee on knee hit on Johnson was scary as hell, and it was funny to watch Greene try to get away from Souray. Latendresse with his first NHL point along with 6 hits and a +1 rating. Not a bad game, but in his last 13 games he's a -6 with no points, but the french media will cream themselves over it nonetheless. Kovalev miracles the puck into the net to win the shootout. All in all a great game, and damn Sykora sure had a wickid shot on Edmonton's second goal.
  3. Montreal played a good game tonight. The game was a fantastic one to watch, and as upsetting as it is that they lost, it really came down to the way the puck bounced, I mean if Brodeur wasn't so lucky on some of the chances Montreal had, it could have been 5 or 6 to 2. Then again, the same could be said the other way around. Higgins plays another good game, and shit was the Montreal defence, along with Begin agressive. I also was unaware that Markov had some stickhandling skills. So I take it that now Toronto has beaten Buffalo and has the honour of being the first team to take them down in regulation, the city officials are already planning the parade route?
  4. 4-0 shutout for Huet tonight. Montreal with 2 short handed goals, and when Komisarek scores a shorty on you, you know you've not had a good game. Was fun to watch, and the Johnson and Pleckanec goals were top notch.
  5. Terrible game against Toronto, but Aubin's ineptitude to do his job late in the game stole a point for us. In Ottawa, good back and forth game for 45 minutes or so. Second in the North East, not bad, Toronto is tied for points with us but have played 2 more games.
  6. Someone please help me suck less at this game.
  7. I really have a lot of trouble putting together a winning team. Any help? Almost like a FAQ question, but with a rather good answer.
  8. Markov is the hero tonight scoring the game winner on a nice pass from Souray with 1.2 second left. Kovalev ejected was a suprise.
  9. A guy in one of my classes also has EHM07, the two of us were playing a network game today. Was fun.
  10. I have the same problem, I have a very good team on paper, but we suck.
  11. The papers here are buzzing about Theodore's third period meltdown here. I'm suprised that Theo wasn't yanked by the 8th goal. I'm equally surpised that Carbo left Abby in nets despite giving up 3 goals in a little over a minute, then 2 more in the game. As fun to watch as the game was, giving up 5 goals when you before had a league leading 1.68 GAA is definately not a good night in nets.
  12. What a shooting gallery in Montreal tonight. Montreal gets the win 8-5, and the crowd was own Theodore's back all night long. Souray is having a great start to the season with 2 goals and 2 assists tonight. He's really starting to play well compared to his blunderous 2005/2006 campaign. He had a bunch of points in Calgary and 4 more tonight so hopefully he continues this pace. Although the Avs scored 5 goals on Abeschier I really think this night was good for the Montreal offence as the Samsanov, Kovalev, Pleckanec line had been struggling. In the dying moments of that game the roof would have blown off the Bell Center had Latendresse scored on his chance. The Habs PK defence played a really good collapsing game against the Colorado PP unit.
  13. Jesus, Toronto's playing a ton of games at the start of the season. You've played two more games than the Habs, but thankfully you're only 2 points ahead of the Habs. To be honest I'm suprised with the play of the Leafs. I would have expected them to be maybe 3-5 right now or 3-4-1 but to their credit, Raycroft has had the help of a well playing Toronto defence. To be honest, I feel that if McCabe or Kaberle get injured it will expose some bigger holes in Raycroft. Also Sundin is playing as he usually does which is great especially since he's what 35? But if he plays 82 games he'll be good for 70-85 points and 25-30 goals.
  14. I personally think that Montreal should stop sucking against a team like Chicago, grated Khabibulin played an all-star game, Montreal should have done much better in the third period, and Niinimaa best wear his sunday best today because he's probably going to get buried by the media here for that bad giveaway which resulted in the game winning goal. Abeschier claimed responsibility for the defeat, but in the end it was 40-45 minutes of good hockey between two teams and in reality Montreal *should* have had the upperhand all night which they didn't/ Carbo says that he's changing up the Samsanov-Pleckanec-Kovalev line as they've been a minus in every game this season. Perezhogen will probably come up for the spot. Koivu is still doing great with the faceoffs and Ryder or Koivu to Higgins is doing pretty good this season. Havlat using most of our team as pylons and then sneaking it through Abby in what should have been a save, well like most of the world is saying, I'll bet those Sens wish they still had him. Colorado on Saturday Abby vs Theo(maybe, I think Budaj will get the start) Looks like the Habs dumped Theo at the right time and Abeschier, despite the loss hasn't given up more than 2 goals in a game yet IIRC. Currently tied with Toronto for 2nd in the Northeast, 4 behind Buffalo but a game at hand on those fucking Leafs. To be honest, I'm more excited for the next Habs-Sens game than I am the Habs-Leafs.
  15. Downy = Out. Regher(sp?) was looking to hit someone and caught Downy with his head down. Gave him a concussion and Komisarek called Iginla a nigger, or at least that's what I could read from his lips when he was harassing him all 1st period. 5-4 Montreal in a real barn burner of a game. Chicago tonight, maybe keep the whole undefeated in regulation thing going.
  16. I'm going to kill myself. In an effort to make one last big push for the playoffs, so decided that it was time to part ways with Chris Pronger. In return I managed to pick up Vincent Lecavlier to go along with Sakic and St. Louis. I have pretty good depth in my line up, Erat is playing phenominally well with Ryder. Everyone chips in, and I actually picked up Ribiero who is poised to be a 50 Goal scorer this season. On Defence I have some prospects who've picked up their game(and stats) so with Pothier and Hannan at the helm Ryan Parent, and one of the Stall brothers help keep my Defence in check. In nets I've got Mika Noronen who wrestled away the #1 spot from John Graham who still makes the occasional start which is a great asset in back to back games and whatknot. Anyways, I was in 13th in midseason which is when I started to make some deals to improve the team. By February We're in 5th place and 9 points ahead of 9th place looking towards the playoffs. Things are looking great, then in a span of 4 games I lose everything. St. Louis is out with a torn ACL(3 months), Lecavalier is out 3 months with a neck injury, Noronen is out for 2 months with a groin injury, Ryder is gone 5 weeks with a wrist injury and Hannan is out for 3 weeks with a shin injury. It is now mid March, some of my players are soon to return, but We've dropped to 14th in the conference and the playoffs will be a no-go for the Predators this season
  17. Fuck that bitch on the other board. He's an embarassment to the Habs. Latendresse is alright, he's got a ton to learn though. To be honest I only predict maybe 25-30 points out of him at most this season. To say he's amazing would put me in the same boat as those Stajan marks. Although Wellwood is where it's at. I was suprised about the 'Hawks fan because I always read in the papers that they have depressingly low attendances(like 8,000 last night) and figured that there wern't very many of them. Are the games blacked out in Chicago?
  18. Well St. Louis finished with 66 goals and 108 points, but I only managed a 9th place finish with a 37-37-8 record. But the fans love me and the front office backs me.
