The technical problems out of the gate kinda killed it. Even playing it after the fact it just didn't feel right and after getting past the opening bit and having some choices I felt zero motivation like I did in the other games to actually do anything about it. They're too focused on Anthem at the moment to care.

They're at the bottom of that link - but I'll try to break them down even more. Make sure that Fire Pro isn't running. I'll presume you're running Windows? Download and install this Then download this and extract it all together anywhere you want. Open the Windows Explorer and put this into the location bar, like you would a browser - it will take you to where the savedata file is: Click again and it'll have replaced %USERPROFILE% with whatever your actual information is. So copy that. Open up the FireGUI application that you extracted. Next to FPPW Save File hit browser, go back up into the location bar again and paste what you have saved. Select the savedata.dat file. It'll automatically populate the output file below it. Click on the List button below the other two buttons. Click on the Alphabetize checkbox, and then click the big FireSave button right below that. It will then ask you if you want to replace - say yes and it notes that it has created a backup file just in case something went wrong. If something does appear off, all you need to do is delete the savedata.dat file then change the name of the file that was created (it'll look like savedata.dat_1503190556 with the ending being a timestamp of when it was created). And that should do it for you.

I think what it comes down to is good news - because if people with self-made tools can fix some of these big issues, the team behind the game should be able to knock it out of the park in no time at all. But what interests me is the revelation that the director of the game is basically using this as his vanity project.. which makes me wonder if the order of things going into the game is based entirely off his whims and that's why these functionality things aren't getting that high of a priority. Oh - the sort worked absolutely perfectly as well.

First bit of Switch news came out and it's going to be limited to 6 characters on the screen, while the other versions go up to 8 this year.

Spike Chunsoft is linking to mods and I downloaded the patcher for it that comes with a few basic options - I ticked off 'show full names on menu' and 'speed up wrestler selection' and they actually work VERY well. I'm also going to take a stab at adding their top recommended mod as well - linked at the bottom is the required and basic starter mod set that I am using.

I want this so, friggin' much. But even if I post about it it just gets drowned out by morons looking for title matches, etc. I don't see why MP3 was such a huge priority over simple stuff like that.

Well at the very least I know the first thing that I'll do is go to the options and disable the Kid Rock song. Or just turn off all music and just turn on all the entrance music for BGM. And now all I can do is picture The Rock training to "You Never Met A While Boy Quite Like Me"

The stream last night noted some of the changes coming in the new patch landing tomorrow. Mouse support is a big yes and depending on what we get for changes to the Edit Mode I might be back into this 100%.

Ack! Why can't it be on sale for Xbox too! I was waiting to get it on Switch but I can't wait anymore and I decided I'd rather have the game live there with my Banjo games regardless.

Big Bossman is even better because he got Hard Times as his theme last year instead of the Slick one he had in 2K16.

The last game had Hayes, Garvin and Roberts as DLC characters - that's why they're in this time.

Are those guys on proper contracts? That might kill that idea out of the gate.

They did new scans and that tech changes fast so here's hoping that most everyone looks spot on this time around. Here's the one issue I have with that though - the guys/girls who can't get scanned have to use the old system and by god, I really hope some of them get updated. Some were fine through and through but certain characters like Macho Man were waaaaaay off and as the main roster starts to look better and better that's going to become even more apparent than it already is.

There were so many great bit pieces in that series. Brad Carter as Charlie Lange is one of my favorites.
