  1. Yeah I think I'm... 75 hours in now at the very least? And I've only done one of the regional phenomenons and I haven't even been to two of the major cities yet. I've spent a good amount of time in the depths, but not as much up in the sky. I put a lot of time into Kakriko, Lurelin, Hateno and Tarrey Towns and I'm still not really done with any of them. And I'm still looking forward to playing every day. There's still some sub-system or something similar that I'm finding all the time. Hell, I just saw that people found out that you can use portable cookers as ball and cup joints for wheels - so if you attach them to a car that you've built like that, they turn into terrain hugging all-terrain vehicles. It's wild.
  2. Until I see it in motion, I'm not going to put too much into the Eddie screenshot either. In bad lighting with a weirdly timed facial animation that doesn't suit him, it could look a hell of a lot worse than it actually is. Everyone else has looked pretty spot on.
  3. Gladius is one of the best 4X games I've ever played. It gives a real alternative to the Civ-style and makes pretty good use of all of the different race features/abilities.
  4. The best we can gleam is from the leaked achievements, I think - specifically the ones that I underlined here. It makes it seem like; 1. There's probably going to be something Smackdown Mall-ish with there being an in-game earnable currency linked close to the Road to the Elite mode. 2. It's going to be replayable, if you're expected to play it multiple times and have it be gradeable 3. It's probably a bit more open ended than No Mercy was if we're going to be able to hold multiple titles at once.
  5. I'm not too fussed about them not doing what the WWE games used to do in terms of hyping out a roster debut or anything like that. Even when 2K does stuff now like 'what is my rating' it's usually on a stream somewhere and honestly... I don't care about that in the least. I care if it plays half decently and gives me something that I don't get out of 2K... and as much of a turnaround as 2K has had, I'm starting to get seriously sick of that style of game, and now that opinion has turned around I'm expecting even more focus and stuff to go into the monetized aspects than there already is. 2K trying to make a competitive grindy game out of a genre/style that just doesn't lend itself to it is exactly what I was expecting to happen.

    Cover Songs

Stumbled across this again for the first time in a while - one of my favourite covers of all time. Her energy is just something else in this.
  7. I ruled out doing anything but stumbling around the central area until a day or so ago when adventuring further and further out led me to the Gerudo Valley. The conditions there made it sound really fun and pushed another part of this game that I adore - prepare yourself or you won't be able to go forward. Or maybe you will but you'll just barely make it. I got roped into that and did my first story bit which was very, very fun and yeah. This is going to be in the conversation for one of the best ever. It just feels so good, and natural! The world is going through turmoil but there are still so many people in it and each one of them seems to have a story. Talking to people under a variety of different circumstances, and they all feel lively as they go about their business. Even people with one dimension will have lines that depend on what you're doing, what the conditions are, what has happened - and it all just feels so natural. And the people in the world are just so on point too. Weird stuff is happening? No matter where you go it seems, there's someone who's trying to learn about what is happening to the world. Finding others in really out of the way, odd places really makes me happy in this game because it feels so hopeful - like people aren't just sitting on their ass, they're trying to do something about it.
  8. I dunno if you have to talk to someone to make it open, but the central square is a shelter. Talk to the guard there, someone told me to do it but I think that the guard will just do it if you talk to them anyways.
  9. There's one in just about every city and major hub - Lookout has one in the basement, Gerudo Town has one in the shelter, etc.
  10. I read that a site is claiming that it's being release late June, but nothing has been confirmed yet at this point.
  11. Looks like people were pre-loading through the phone app and not the console/website itself.
  12. I still remember when Red Dead hit and we all fucked around because everyone would login at different points of the day and be stuck with the donkey. I remember someone being ADAMANT that they were going to stick with the donkey to the detriment of everything we tried to pull off as well.
  13. The feeling of never knowing if this was the time that went too far was way too fun to push.
  14. The whole done vs. not done argument felt like it was coming from two different places and was semantics over the definition of what 'done' meant. I think that Omega meant to say that it was feature complete in the sense of everything that they wanted to put in the game, everyone that was going to be in it, the story mode, the match types - etc - was all done and decided and playable. But what the studio guy said, and rightfully so, is that the product isn't done until testing is signed off on, marketing is signed off on, the discs are printed and in the store. There is still a lot of work to do but I don't think the work has to do with adding new features - just making sure that what is there works. That being said the radio silence could be a problem with that, or it could be them still trying to work out the best time to release this now.
  15. Not gonna lie. https://gamerant.com/star-wars-jedi-survivor-spawn-of-ogdo-raiders-trick/
  16. There's always the Arsenic editor if you want to do some maintenance on some people mid-game easily.
  17. I know a lot of traditionalists would've bricked in their pants if they added a roll or something to 2, haha. But I think that 3 is the proper level of changing gameplay to match the feel of the game versus what they tried to do with Resident Evil 6 which... the less said the better.
  18. Yeah, it's more action-y for sure and I think that's why it's divisive - you have Jill with the roll and Carlos with the punch, it's just easier to control the situation than it was in the other games. But I love it, and I think that the pace of the game suits the playstyle. It's all just go, go, go and Jill is my absolute favourite character in the series because she is just so done with all the shit.
  19. I'm going to play until I can legally adopt Turgle.
  20. I rushed through Fallen Order's ending because when I was originally playing it - I stopped and kind of fell off, probably because something else came off. I was stalling the playthrough for a long time by trying to get everything and as it turns out I stopped playing in the last 1/4 of the game where the most interesting stuff happens. I was going to watch a video or something - but I got myself to play through the rest of the game and I'm super happy I did. Really a big fan of the way that Survivor is working. I don't agree in the least with the reviews that say that they didn't change the combat enough. Most are saying that it's refined but two have just given a nebulous "but more could have been done" and I really, really don't get what they mean other than "I wanted an entirely different combat system and went in knowing that it wasn't going to be but wanted to mention it anyways" - the new form that you get pretty quickly (and the ones that come later, I'm super hyped for) are more in line with the style of gameplay I want to do.
  21. Hah! I know the feeling. I've been waiting since they were announced to land on the Switch because they had some really bad scrolling issues when I tried them on the PC and honestly, the Switch just seemed to be the place to play them - but in my dumb mind there was NO way that I could buy anything buy the full set. But that's just my nature with everything, sadly enough.
  22. The modifiers that they added where you can either 1/2 or x2, x4 or even zero out your experience and gil is a good touch for the games. You can experience them as intended, harder or easier depending on what you want your experience to be.

    WWE 2K23

I did reinstall Wrestling Empire and went back to my old Career save. I remember going through and renaming everyone their proper names and I'm like 10 years deep into this career mode already so I thought I would continue it. So there is a roam mode, like the old Smackdown games. You walk around and actually have time before the show starts and then you actually have to make it to the Gorilla Position in time to make it out for your match when the timer goes green - but you can take the subway, talk to people, go to the gym, etc. It's actually... quite insane. He seems to have added more weapons and stuff - including just... an actual portrait of the Ultimate Warrior. Just, straight up. Nothing obfuscating about it. Just a painting of him you can hit people with. Sure. I went out for my first match - a 24 person battle royal that eliminates you when you're low on health. Knew I'd have no chance of winning, but at least I stayed in it long enough to remember that Viscera got taken under the wing of Tiger Mask and now wears that attire. Speaking of things I forgot about, my character gained weight and took over Earthquake's gimmick apparently so that's fun. After the match, I can walk around for a bit but I decide to leave the arena and go to the hotel to sleep. Literally just a bunch of characters randomly standing and roaming in every are you go to, the middle of the road in the street, etc. I go to the hotel. It's a dingy room and it contains Doink the Clown, a bundle of dynamite and Ricky Steamboat. I don't know what is happening. Apparently my next match is an Exploding Barbed Wire match again... Bruno Sammartino. Okay. This is within 10 minutes of booting this dumb game up.
