I actually find playing against higher rated opponents easier sometimes because by the time I get my finisher, they're so deep in the red that it only takes one to put them away.

The VC that you have you can use on any character or venue of your choice, but if you are starting from 0 - yeah it's going to take a while to unlock everything. There are locked wrestlers, belts and venues and then if you're playing MyCareer mode you are paying VC to get abilities, increase your stats and get loot boxes (1,000 in and of themself I think they are) that unlock different moves, move sets, gear, etc for your created guy... which you then have to spend VC in order to actually use.

2K is doing the same bullshit they pull in the NBA series with that stuff, because not only do you gain that money slow - it's also used for other things. So you have to choose.. do you want to unlock stuff or do you want to play MyCareer, etc. And it'll likely only get worse next year when I assume they shove the ability to buy the currency into the system. Using the Accelerator is really the only option and while thankfully it's cheap, just unlocking everything in one go isn't really exciting either.

The version of Rebel Rebel from Reality quickly made it my favorite Bowie song when I found it.

Shivering Isles for Oblivion was pretty top notch for the time.

You can see in the details menu whether or not they did a custom move set, entrance, etc. and maybe some notes from the creator. Normally I'd say the top ones most likely do - but the fault with this system is that the first decent one goes to the top and no one bothers with the newer, possibly improved ones. Usually I search individually and go through them.

AOTY for me has to come down to Sick Scenes from Los Campesinos! - I don't think I've been into an album that much for quite a while.

I feel like the rotating one is better this year than last, if I work down the body part that needs to be targeted - I'm able to actually get it this year.

This could be the ultimate game if the antiquated menu system was fixed. Really hoping to see some improvements to all that here soon enough.

Not moving Mortal Kombat away from that look would've killed dead before it was stagnating. That period of time just wasn't great in general for fighting games, shit became over saturated and when Netherrealms figured out that heavy stories and single player experiences could be interesting in the MK world if they didn't take themselves too seriously, they found the formula that worked for them.

Ubisoft delayed The Crew 2, Far Cry 5 and another unnamed game that they have in production after seeing what doing so for Assassin's Creed Origins did for the end product of the game, and announced that they want to give the game creators more time to match their vision fully. What world are we living in?

WWE doesn't have purchasable VC yet, that's probably coming next year.

Another studio handled the Switch port apparently, oomph.

I would not at all be shocked if it runs like that undocked on the Switch. Third party on that thing has been terrible in some cases, compounded by publishers just wanting to get the game out by 'X' date.

I'm more interested in seeing how it performs. Not to mention the likely space requirements it's going to have. And yeah, I meant the red bars - I couldn't figure out why I thought they were green, but they turn green when you're successful.
