  1. Critics were nicer to 'Til Death than they were to Standoff. That's crazy. Oh and I think The Inside was awesome, but the critical reaction was pretty negative. Add to that a bunch of sitcoms, because critics have a stick up their ass about everything with a laugh track.
  2. A little late for that. The debut had like 400,000 people or something like that and the second and following episodes had like 100,000 or less I believe.
  3. Over the weekend I watched the latter two thirds of House season one. Awesome. And I watched the second half of How I Met Your Mother. If they maintain this, Barney is going to become a TV legend. Bones - "The Boy In The Shroud" - 7/10 The Bones/Booth relationship is great this year. Hodgins/Angela could be great too. And Tamara Taylor is Canadian. This clearly proves the theory that every great show has a Canadian or a Limey. Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip - "Pilot" - 8.5/10 Second best pilot I've seen this year. Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford are such a kick ass on screen team. Standoff - "Circling" - 6/10 Okay so this show requires a suspension of disbelief, but it's fun. The pizza bit was hilarious, and although the show gives no profound insight and is thoroughly formulaic, who cares? The cast is great, the pacing is excellent and it's more fun than anything I can think of in the timeslot until Veronica Mars returns.
  4. And Smith! And Jericho! And Boston Legal! And Six Degrees! There's too much awesomeness to be fathomed this week.
  5. "Norm" had an episode where he got addicted to gambling after Shelley left. It was awesome.
  6. The season 1 finale was so awesome that it almost sets up expectations they can't possibly meet. But then again I never thought they'd top the pilot, so what do I know. Definitely one of the best comedies on TV right now, and almost certain proof that a multi-camera sitcom can still work on modern television.
  7. Then what is Tina Fey's show about? Same thing
  8. The Aristocrats - 6/10 Good stuff. Gilbert Godried and Sarah Silverman's bits are the best, but Saget is awesome too.
  9. No one mentioned Juliette And the Licks yet? For shame.
  10. Our Lady Peace - "Thief" immediately springs to mind.
  11. I used to follow the video podcast "Jim Dupree: Enthusiast", until it stopped. Even still, check it out, it's awesome.
  12. Even Nickelback haters have to admit that their cover of "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" is pretty awesome. Oh and everything from Rage Against the Machine's "Renegades", but I'm assuming I don't need to tell you about that.
  13. Norm MacDonald - Ridiculous - 4/10 And this coming from a huge Norm mark. Very disappointing, I'd wished that he'd just do an album of live standup, because his standup act is always great.
  14. Happy Hour - "The Mix CD" - 4/10 A big drop off from a decent premiere. I didn't laugh once. This better get good. Men In Trees - "Pilot" - 5/10 Not quite good, but forgivable. I'll give it another shot at catching me. Bones - "The Mother and Child In the Bay" - 7/10 Bones is getting a lot better this year. The relationship between Bones/Booth is a lot more interesting this year, and Tamara Taylor has proved a great addition. House - "Cane And Able" - 7/10 Didn't hold the intrigue of the premiere, but it was good.
  15. Accepted - 6/10 Justin Long is like a young Chevy Chase. A movie that's funny enough and says enough about the pressure we put on teenagers to succeed to be worthy of a watch.
  16. Survivor: Cook Islands: "I Can Forgive Her But I Don't Have To Because She Screwed With My Chickens" - 6.5/10 Better than expected. Of course, what will always tell the tale is weather or not the energy lasts when the four tribes eventually become two.
  17. And it didn't have an utterly unremarkable lead single last time around either. >_>
  18. Morris had the greatest subtle debut to a character ever. He'll be awesome next year.
  19. For some reason I forgot Undeclared, but yeah that show's awesome to levels of ridiculousness. I think my list of worst one season cancellation is as follows: 1) Freaks & Geeks 2) Undeclared 3) Firefly 4) The Inside 5) Wonderfalls (just to keep Ringy happy) There were other season 1 cancellations that sucked, but these ones were insane.

Tommy Caffee is fucking awesome. He's a politician who's in the hands of organized labour. That's way better than someone in the hands of the corporate scum. And plus he does all that underhanded shit that we usually find out 50 years after people die. And he looks like Tommy Douglas. If they teamed up, they could take over the world.
  21. The episode sucked apart from Abruzzi going out all bad ass. In one episode they took all of Bellick's edge away again. The Agent guy going after Sarah should be reasonably cool, since everything the Agent guy does is cool. And more of new FBI guy is required.
