  1. Not YouTube, but still Spike Jonze awesomeness.

They were over here. Thankfully we haven't heard from them since "Better Off Alone". Probably because North America only cared about electronic music for maybe a year.
  3. Ringo said that watching that movie first hurt his impression of The Departed. Of course, he thought Internal Affairs was a heaping pile of shit. >_>
  4. It's funny, because they say Scorsese has the best musical taste in Hollywood and here we go to one of his movies and come back, instantly obsessed with a band he featured for a matter of what, 60 seconds? That clearly proves it. >_>
  5. Heroes - "One Giant Leap" - 7.5/10 This show really has the "Lost" format down, so much so that when it has an average episode the formula still elevates it to really solid TV. 30 Rock - "Pilot" - 6.5/10 If they can properly continue the momentum of the Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin bits, it'll be fine. Jane Krakowski is good too, and Tina Fey's bits are well written, if not exactly well performed. Twenty Good Years - "Pilot" - 3/10 Cancel immediately. This is "Til Death" bad. Couldn't we have just slotted "The Singles Table" in here in the first place?
  6. A necessary by-product of seeing The Departed, I'm now big into the Dropkick Murphys. So far I think I'd rank the albums The Warrior's Code > Blackout > Do Or Die, although they're all good. But The Warrior's Code has "Tessie" and "I'm Shipping Up To Boston" so it's the winner.

They're also doing a musical episode. It'll be interesting to see if they can match the awesomeness of "Once More With Feeling".
  8. The Departed - 9/10 Not only does it have a character named Fitzy, but Moe Riley from Brotherhood making an appearance? Pure gold. If Michael Caffee had shown up it would have been my favorite movie ever. >_> On a more serious note, wow. This seriously felt like any of the number of instant classics Scorsese has done over the years. Best movie of the year so far, and Scorsese's best in a decade.
  9. 1. Carly Pope 2. Kristen Bell 3. Scarlett Johansson 4. Elisha Cuthbert 5. Sarah Shahi 6. Evangeline Lilly 7. Emmanuelle Chriqui 8. Morena Baccarin 9. Rachel McAdams 10. Ellen Adair Negatives: 1. Mandy Moore (because the Carly haters seem to like her. >_>) 2. Lucy Pinder 3. Morgan Webb 4. Keeley Hazell 5. Jodie Kidd
  10. But for Buffy and Angel, such campaign was warranted. They were really consistently awesome for a long time. I was a Buffy/Angel fanboy, but Firefly didn't get the same attention from me. It was just a "cool show that got cancelled", like a lot of others.
  11. Here. Awesome. Just hopefully they aren't actually trying to market the film on its "stars" like the first half implies.
  12. K-Os - Atlantis is awesome. It's like a perfect combination of various elements of "Exit" and "Joyful Rebellion". Best track - Valhalla (ft. Sam Roberts and Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene).
  13. There probably isn't a sequel, but these comments were misinterpreted. He was commenting on a specific rumour, not on the general idea of a sequel. And I'm certain that there will be a continuation of the story, whether it be in the form of a film, series or graphic novel (in all honesty, the latter seems the most likely).
  14. I've been listening to The Sickness and Believe by Disturbed a lot over the past day. And now I miss nu metal.
  15. I love the almost Colbert-esque set up of the interview. Gotta give the guy credit, for all his shortcomings he's clearly got a sense of humour.
  16. Okay now that the Yanks are out I'm pretty much happy with whoever comes out of the AL. Right now it's all about the Mets and Carlos Delgado winning the World Series.
  17. Tweener is a fucking moron. Seriously, who would give up a white collar prison and cleared record just to stay loyal to some guy you'll never see again? It'd make so much more sense if he'd tried to set them up but they were already gone. It only served the purpose of bringing out how crazy a bastard Mahone is. Which, by the way, he is. And that's why he's so awesome.
  18. The Killers - Sam's Town is way better than I'd thought it'd be. Everything is written with the same sort of vapid arrogance that most arena rock bands use, but hey, it's a lot more interesting than all of that. It's escapist fun, and that's all it needs to be.
