    Heroes Season Two

He isn't, in the trailer it shows him making out with Claire and I'd highly doubt NBC doing anything with incest.

    Back to You

I've been so close to just saying fuck it with both episodes so far. Both times, it had JUST enough to make me check out the next episode. It's hidden in the glory of Kid Nation though, so it's lucky that DVR exists.
  3. Anyone else notice Kevin Smith's vocal cameo? In one scene the boss is talking about the sales competition and says that the prize is a ham, to which Kevin Smith's voice clearly says "I'm Jewish, you moron". It was in the original pilot, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was still in the show that aired.
  4. They dropped her because she was a horrible actress, and Missy Peregrym is actually really good in the role. But in fairness, who isn't an improvement on Nikki Reed? This show is awesome. Sam and Sock are an awesome pair, and Ben could be a great foil for them. Bret Harrison is a pro, and funny in everything he does. It probably doesn't have the same action/comedy potential as "Chuck", but if they stick to going down the Kevin Smith/slacker route, it'll be a fun show before CW cancels it for having Veronica Mars-esque ratings.
  5. Last night was the 3rd time I'd seen the pilot, and it's still awesome. Morgan is an awesome sidekick, Casey is pure bad ass and as has been said many times before, Sarah is hot. So is Gift Shop Girl from Scrubs, and she's got some funny moments with Morgan. Zachary Levi is a great lead; Seth Cohen but slightly more together. And the show combines Josh Schwartz's wit with McG's penchant for over-the-top action. In other words, perfect for TV consumption. NBC wins Monday.
  6. They started with -DARY! Greatest cliffhanger resolution ever! The episode was wonderful. HIMYM is so comfortable in its hipness that it's a wonder the show isn't massively popular. Oh wait, it's on CBS, the network who's viewers are more likely to have a hip replacement than watch a hip show.
  7. I miss when the bad guys were the Company. At least they helped with decent cliffhangers. I'll reserve overall judgment about the season until they actually go about putting the breakout together, since the lack of a breakout is what most people hated about season two anyway. But we need bad ass Bellick back.

    Heroes Season Two

Takezo Kensei is so awesome. With a character that's got a sense of humour, they just made the Monday lineup go together even better. The show could have been dry, but I felt they built up enough intrigue to work it. It wasn't a home-run season premiere, but enough to buy them time to debut the season's major arc.
  9. The Family Guy "Star Wars" was awesome. Completely makes up for the disappointing Simpsons premiere, and the continued existence of King of the Hill.
  10. Psh. You were totally with us on Popular. That show is WAY gayer than Gossip Girl.
  11. Gossip Girl is so bitchy that it's wonderful, and the pilot had solid performances so I'm on board for now. Some fairly generic storylines teased in this one though, so we'll see if they can keep it fresh.
  12. I don't know who you are sir. But I know this. You... are a good man.

  13. I don't care if this is ridiculous. If it will make 24 less shit than last year, I'm on board.
  14. I think what was special about GoF was that one of the good guys died. Vanquishing evil isn't exactly the darkest of subject matter, but when a 14 year old kid has to bury a friend, that's when the series sort of loses its innocence.
  15. Well in fairness, it debuted about a month before How I Met Your Mother 2 years ago so it was the only thing in the timeslot then.
  16. Spoiler: Click here to viewSara is only gone while Sarah Wayne Callies is on maternity leave. She had a daughter in July, so if she's not back on set yet it'll be at least 8 episodes before she returns. This episode didn't do anything for me. Better than the second season, obviously, but still fairly ridiculous. The show drops to DVR status for now, behind Chuck which I'll watch for Josh Schwartz, Adam Baldwin and eventual Spoiler: Click here to viewRachel Bilson awesomeness. The ratings were also fairly light for the premiere, 4.9 in households, down 13% from last year. If that's the kind of number it's going to draw without original competition, they better hope they hooked this audience good.
  17. I watch too much TV. New shows: Chuck, Journeyman, K-Ville, Pushing Daisies, Reaper, The Big Bang Theory, Cavemen Non-New: Prison Break, Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, Bones, House, Smallville, My Name Is Earl, The Office, Scrubs, 30 Rock, Survivor, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Dexter, Brotherhood, Corner Gas, Little Mosque On the Prairie, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, The Mercer Report, 24, Lost, Notes From the Underbelly, One Tree Hill. At least a third of these will probably be dropped from viewing for their turning shit, and others will perhaps be added for their being pilots I haven't seen. I'm particularly looking forward to The IT Crowd (should it ever air), Dirty Sexy Money, Life, Big Shots, New Amsterdam and Moonlight. The only pilot I saw and thought particularly sucked was Aliens In America, which I thought was flat and one dimensional. So yeah. I watch too much TV. But it's better than watching too many movies. At least TV is free.
  18. Fitzy just didn't watch enough to see the totally awesome Mayor Fitzy character debut.
  19. And now Jaime Pressley! 3 Awards, 3 not-shitty winners! (Piven won the first award, BTW)
  20. Anyone watching? Seacrest has been surprisingly tolerable so far. And Locke won! That instantly means this year wins.
  21. Update today says that through 3 days, 'Ye's at 781,000 and Fiddy's at 603,000. 4 days to move 219,000. Seems possible he's going to hit that plateau, although Fiddy's first day sales have seemingly left Kenny Chesney in the dust.
