  1. Well Bottas' front wheel nut has opened up the podium at least. These marshals are being incredibly over-zealous with blue flags, they're waving them at Vettel and Gasly seemingly because they're surprised they're ahead of Lewis. I love Lewis, but there's very few things more entertaining than him losing his mind on a team radio .
  2. I know it doesn't quite fit under the MCU umbrella, but the MODOK animated show on Disney+ is tremendous, as was to be expected given the cast I suppose.
  3. Never trust the Italians to judge a car is working properly. Max leads after Lap 1, so congratulations to him for winning the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix.
  4. It is certainly one way of getting the job done. Only problem is he might not be able to keep the pole if they have to replace something important which causes a grid drop. 5 different teams in the top 6 is exactly what the sport needs as well.

Mike Wozniak is... a human being of no possible comparison. This has been a really good series, from Mike's utter madness to Charlotte's infectious sweetness, it covered everything. Season 12 looks interesting too, Morgana is fairly crazy from what I remember, and I've always found VCM hilarious. I was always sort-of hoping they might have her and David Mitchell in the same series, but I'm glad she's on it. More women than men for the first time as well, in fact the same amount of female contestants in this series as there were in the first 3 combined.
  6. I like it too, anything that makes a game have extra meaning makes it more exciting to watch. Meanwhile Russ is finding out that every triple-double in the world doesn't mean a thing if you don't show up to those meaningful games.
  7. What a pathetic display for Harry's last home game.
  8. Hot damn that's good. We need more one off liveries, or a whole race of them like they have in the States.
  9. Speaking of IndyCar, the eventual winner, Rinus Veekay, is a perfect example of the flaws of the Formula system. He didn't have the funding to get even an F3 seat, let alone F2 or F1, but is clearly extremely talented and was fantastic during the race yesterday. I hope he gets the chance at F1, if he wants to now of course. Meanwhile, there's Mazepin.
  10. "Belgium 3, Russia 3 with 2 sendings off after an enthralling first half, we'll be talking to Roy and Glenn about the action shortly, but first let's head over to the England camp to see how the team are preparing, and find out what Jordan Henderson had for lunch."
  11. I was disappointed in most of the Hitman 3 levels, mainly because of the lack of different assassination options and mission stories. Like GoGo says, It feels like a lot of the creativity of H1 and H2 got replaced with focusing on the story, and as soon as that happens it feels less like a Hitman game. See Absolution for evidence of that. I'm playing through the H1 and H2 levels again and they are so crazily detailed that it kind of makes up for it. I've played Miami so many times, but yesterday ended up inside an area I had never been before (the pit garage of one of the barely mentioned other teams in the race). You don't get that same feeling when when the last level is just a train.
  12. I'll never forget how confused I was when Meltzer's evidence of how Roman Reigns wasn't a mainstream star was that when he went to see Hobbs & Shaw in the cinema, nobody cheered when Roman first appeared on screen. If someone did that in the UK the amount of tutting and shushing would drown out the film itself.

From what I can piece together of the studio filming, seasons 10, 11 and later this year's season 12 were all done around the same time (a year ago according to Lee on this week's podcast), so it's probably the different groups of people reacting to the situation in different ways. It means that even if all the restrictions are lifted by September/October, the next season will probably still not have a live crowd, unless they only did 10-11 at the same time, and the recorded tasks will still be social-distanced. I'm fairly sure Alex has said all three seasons were grouped together though.
  14. Mr. Feige has confirmed that Dr. Strange was going to have a cameo in WandaVision (and was to be the driving force behind the adverts in an attempt to communicate with Wanda), but they cut the idea to avoid the narrative of a white man coming in to save the day.
  15. Amazing. People really don't seem to learn anything these days. Maybe his brand of negative, directionless football will still work in Serie A.

I'm finding it hard to remember a contestant that has entertained me more during a series than Mike Wozniak.
  17. Damn, I literally have no idea how I missed that
  18. I was really hoping the Steelers would move up to do something to address the QB situation, especially when Jones and Fields were still available after the top 10, but far be it for me to expect the Steelers to do something exciting. At least Harris is a good player who can keep the offense a bit more varied. Moment of the evening was the Sweet Caroline portion. Great stuff.
  19. Got it downloaded and ready for tomorrow. Not many games I'd pre-order these days but I cannot see how I will not enjoy this nostalgia rush.
  20. From a financial standpoint there is absolutely no point in Haas, Williams or probably Alfa Romeo taking part. They're the three least financially stable teams and are putting their cars at risk in a race situation for the sake of who qualifies at various points between #12 and #20. I'd never want it in a million years, but if you're going to do a sprint race it needs to have some kind of reverse grid format otherwise the whole thing is pointless and only serves to further solidify the known order.
  21. Sprint races are here for Silverstone, Monza and Interlagos. Yaaaay. 3 points, 2 points, 1 point for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the sprint race. Proper qualifying shunted to Friday so nobody can watch it. I'm sure there will be some entertainment, but I hate how this is messing with the sport.

I've been catching up on the Taskmaster podcast, and for Series 1 Episode 3 they have Josh Widdecombe on. He revealed that his daughter Pearl had been born three days before he started the Champion of Champions series, and when he got into his dressing room the producers and Alex had left a task on the table, which said: It's now framed on her bedroom wall. It got me all teary-eyed.
  23. Of course the guy who should have been sent off wins it. Not that we really deserved it either.
  24. Ronnie seemed to take it really well which surprised me. I was expecting a rant about COVID protocols, either too lax or too many, but he seemed to take it in his stride. He didn't even threaten to stop playing.
