  1. The complete universal praise of the idea from every Sky presenter and pundit really makes me wonder if there's some kind of instruction not to criticise it.
  2. As fun as that was, I still don't want this to be a permanent thing. The race is the race, pretending this isn't a race is ridiculous, and therefore it takes away from the Grand Prix itself. Plus I still think the qualifying session yesterday was more exciting.
  3. Johnson I can understand. McGee I cannot fathom in the slightest.
  4. Max is over 7 tenths faster than the field in FP1. Gee, I wonder who will win the sprint race?
  5. It's really nice going in to tomorrow's Loki finale without over-thinking every last detail, and not having a general idea of what's going to happen. I think it's mainly because the show-runner, cast and crew have largely remained silent and haven't tried feeding breadcrumbs of potential reveals, some of which are deliberately misleading. If that means Marvel have learned from WandaVision then that's great.
  6. Commiserations to England, always harsh to lose on penalties. This team has an amazing future ahead of them. That said, I am crying with happiness, which is a change to why I've usually been crying over the last 12 months.
  7. I agree, as a movie it's really good, but in the inter-connected world of the MCU it feels really out of place. Movie spoilers Credits spoilers:
  8. I think that's enough justification for Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell to self-isolate again. And I am very much in favour of the game moving to Rome.
  9. I think England will win, the crowd will help and we've been much flatter since we stepped outside of Rome. I've already been told to "fuck off you Italian cunt" on a work WhatsApp group, so that's something to look forward to for the next week.
  10. As much as I love Harry, he was in no way the man of that match.
  11. It doesn't help that the media is so inclined to target those kind of fans and get them riled up to a fever pitch, almost insinuating that those types are the "real fans" that every other England supporter should be aspiring to be. I mean I'm 24 hours removed from feeling the exact same way as the England fans do now, and at no point has anyone told me I should take the day off work to celebrate the achievement. Perhaps it was happening in Italy, where it would be the same scenario.
  12. What I would love to know is what the reaction would have been if Denmark had won from a penalty given for that foul.
  13. I believe he said it's fine for people not to go to work tomorrow because England won a semi-final, because he's a dickhead. Jesus Christ, he's going off again. YOU HAVEN'T WON ANYTHING YET. This is exactly what @metalman is talking about.
  14. I expect to feel somewhat conflicted on Sunday, which I expect will disperse after belting out Fratelli D'Italia. Gonna throw my Forza Azzurri for the final in here, and then I'll show myself out.
  15. "Well the referee has given a penalty, which means a penalty for England if the decision stands, VAR will be checking for a clear and obvious error, which means something that would be clearly and obviously incorrect, and if that VAR check for a clear and obvious error comes back as there is a clear and obvious error, it wouldn't be a penalty. I think the referee has given the penalty because he has seen a foul in the penalty area, and if VAR concludes that there is no clear and obvious error, it will be a penalty for England." Thanks Peter.
  16. Glad Harry tucked home the rebound, he doesn't deserve to be treated like the other people the media have blamed in the past.
  17. Well of course he missed it first, it's Euro 2020.
  18. Now that's a clear penalty. Or maybe not. Nice dive Raheem!
  19. Ha, who's going to be physically and mentally exhausted now!
  20. Get James Milner in the commentary booth.
