  1. Stolen from Reddit, but it did make me chuckle.
  2. From a Test Match perspective, especially statistically, yes. We're still a real force in the limited overs games though, we were probably the best side at the World T20 before getting knocked out by losing the toss.
  3. I think there's very little between Neser and Boland, Neser's a better batsman though. One thing to take away from the third test is that all the talk from Root about the bowlers not performing in the second test actually made a difference. Shame about everything else really. At least the Big Bash is still entertaining, Ben McDermott has hit two centuries in consecutive innings, the Sydney Sixers bowled out the Brisbane Heat for 106, fell to 45 for 8 themselves, but still won on the last ball.
  4. Skittled out for 68 by Australia's 5th choice fast bowler. Good grief. Silverwood has to go, but I have no idea what other changes can be made. There's no obvious captain replacement for Root other than Stokes, and he has enough on his plate at the moment, Anderson and Broad are nearly done and everyone else can't guarantee their place in the side. This is very much the ECB's fault, the de-prioritisation of red ball cricket has led to this point, the preparation and organisation of this tour was horrific. But hey, gotta make some room for The Hundred, am I right?
  5. The T-Wolves starting five of Josh Okogie, Jaden McDaniels, Nathan Knight, Malik Beasley and Jordan McLaughlin defeated a near-full strength Boston Celtics last night, however the main praise must go to Greg Monroe. He flew in to Minnesota, met the coach and team 30 minutes before tip-off, then came off the bench to play 24 minutes and racking up 11-9-6.
  6. It seems the league (and owners) are so desperate to avoid postponements or stopping altogether that teams will be allowed to sign as many additional players as necessary to keep the games on. And in doing so, spreading the virus to even more people.
  7. The Nets are suffering from so many COVID issues and other injuries that they're bringing back Kyrie to play in away games, therefore endangering everyone in the arena to exposure from an anti-vax idiot. What a bunch of fucking clowns.
  8. Can anyone guarantee that Michael Masi wasn't in charge of the draw today?
  9. I hope to add some happiness to the madness that's happening by reporting that, despite only competing in two races, Robert Kubica is classified ahead of Nikita Mazepin in the driver's championship standings, by virtue of his 14th and 15th finishes being better than Mazepin's best finishes of 14th and 17th.
  10. George Russell seems to be sitting on the fence. Looks like one of the protests is that Max overtook Lewis behind the safety car, which I thought at the time and then got completely absorbed by everything else. A lot of people are unhappy at the way Masi spoke to Toto about the rational of the decision too.
  11. The problem with that is, if Aston Martin get their act together and have a shot at the championship, Seb's not the driver who's going to get the #1 driver backing that's needed.
  12. Because of the new regulations nobody knows, although budgets usually dictate a lot so it probably won't be too far off the current set up. I can't see Haas showing up like Brawn did at the first 2009 testing session and being a second ahead of the field for example.
  13. Both teams always have winning shirts printed, the running joke is that the losing team's shirts get sent out to charities. One minor thing is that I'm glad it was a Williams that caused the safety car, if it had been an AlphaTauri there would have been even more accusations flying around. I pray that this is the last year that the team principals are put on equal billing with the drivers, it's getting beyond tiresome.
  14. Carlos Sainz being just "yes I'm very happy with my podium and finishing 5th in the championship" is the sanity we need right now.
  15. There is absolutely no excuse for them to change the "lapped cars stay behind Lewis" to "lapped cars go past the safety car" decision without some kind of outside influence, or just absolute spinelessness. Oh fuck, as Ted pointed out, only 5 cars were allowed to unlap themselves, not every lapped car. What the fuck are they doing?
  16. I try to be unbiased in all this, but the FIA have absolutely fucked over Mercedes and Lewis there. I'm very happy for Max, but these last two races have been appallingly run. Maybe this is the Drive to Survive era where rules and decisions are made based on what's best for entertainment.
  17. Safety car... but I don't think they're clearing that up before the end of the race. If they do race, Mercedes' refusal to put Lewis might have cost him the title. WHAT THE HELL.
  18. Holy crap, this is now set up to be an incredibly close finish. Gio's parking has created a lot of drama. Also, the introduction of the FIA/team radio channel has really shown what a bunch of whiners they all are. Toto begging Masi not to send out a safety car is just pathetic.
  19. That is some fantastic team driving from Perez.
  20. Well it didn't take long for a controversy to begin... And I was not expecting that outcome.
