  1. Seems legit to me. The reason I support the Steelers (and by extension the other Pittsburgh sports teams) is because they drafted my created player in Madden 06 so I got to learn the players and team.
  2. Football - Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli (club) and Italy (international). Also follow my local teams Swindon and Chippenham Town. NBA - Minnesota Timberwolves NFL - Pittsburgh Steelers Cricket - Somerset (county) and England (international) F1 - I don't support any driver or team specifically, my interest purely lies in the racing being exciting. I would however be happier with an outsider winning instead of the regular 2/3 top drivers, so I'd rather Perez won that Vestappen, Russell instead of Hamilton, Sainz instead of Leclerc, and anyone from the other 7 teams ahead of those 6 drivers. I should support Ferrari because Italy, but my enjoyment of the sport was ruined by their behaviour from 2000 to 2005, and these days I despise the way they hold the sport to ransom. NHL - Don't really follow it, but I check the results of the Pittsburgh Penguins MLB - Same as above, but Pittsburgh Pirates instead.
  3. Djokovic acting like a martyr, saying he had to overcome the mental pain of his Australia deportation, is beyond sickening. He either lied about having COVID on his medical exemption form, or alternatively had COVID and knowingly went to several personal appearances with hundreds of fans. Either way, he deserves absolutely no sympathy.
  4. Very annoying for Carlos, once again Ferrari shooting themselves in the foot. The sight of an on fire car rolling back towards the track with the driver unable to get out was more than a little frightening.
  5. These track limit penalties are incredibly irritating. The FIA are the ones who want run-off areas instead of gravel traps to stop cars retiring, then penalise the drivers for straying millimetres off the road because there's no risk outside the white line.
  6. This final is like choosing between being punched in the balls or kicked in the balls. Alternatively, like choosing between being given COVID by an egomaniacal asshole who doesn't believe in medical science, or physically assaulted by a violently unstable personification of toxic masculinity.
  7. The important thing is that Perez's penalty was almost meaningless, because he's back up to 5th, and one of the most liked drivers will start last tomorrow because his car couldn't start this needless exercise. Thanks Sprint Race!
  8. Reason #2,432 to hate sprint races; if it's not made obvious it's a sprint weekend you end up not knowing qualifying is on Friday, and blindly stumble on to websites that tell you what happened before you have a chance to watch it.
  9. It seems the Wolves might have blown up KD's trade plans. Our ridiculous haul of players and picks for Gobert has the Nets wanting even more than that for KD, and nobody is remotely interested in offering it.
  10. I'm glad I'm not the only one a bit underwhelmed. It felt like the movie was based around the theory of "Hey! You liked Ragnorok? Have all this Ragnorok-like stuff in every scene!" Spoilery stuff below

    WWE 2K23

The community downloads have possibly topped anything I could have expected. I felt like doing a Royal Rumble based on WWF 1993 and went to find a Mr. Hughes, thinking to myself "imagine if someone had made a [former Welsh footballer, now manager] Mark Hughes". And of course there is a facially accurate Mark Hughes to download, resplendent in his managerial suit. And the Mr. Hughes I found looks phenomenal as well.
  12. If he goes to the 76ers I am really looking forward to what the 76ers could possibly have that would be enough as a trade bargain. If you need any indication of KD's character, one of the main reasons he wants to leave is because he blames the Nets for not allowing Kyrie to play half of last year. Not the selfish prick who wouldn't get vaccinated, the team that respected the laws of the state they play in. He's also going to be traded before he even starts the 4 year extension he signed in August last year.
  13. And perhaps the biggest reception went to the retiring Sue Barker. It's a shame some of the other champions weren't available for the ceremony, getting Sampras, Agassi, Graf and Serena in among those that were would be incredible. Perhaps it's wrong to assume, but I'm guessing that Martina Navratilova wasn't there because Margaret Court was, and frankly they shouldn't have invited her. Angelique Kerber's facial expression and forced applause when she walked out said it all.
  14. If ever anyone wants to know why I'm half-Italian but don't support Ferrari, telling Carlos to stay 10 car lengths behind Leclerc is the exact sort of shit I hate in F1. I'm so glad Carlos ignored them. Perhaps it's recency bias, but I think these last 5 laps are some of the most exciting I've ever seen.
  15. I get the feeling that Carlos is not winning this race regardless of what happens. I expect some Ferrari "tactics" to occur. I'd be less annoyed by that if I didn't think that Charles' driving on the second opening lap wasn't clearly penalty-worthy.
  16. It gets so frustrating to see Verstappen constantly taking the lead, and I assume now winning this race, due to other people messing up. MAYBE NOT! Speaking of messing up, Tsunoda has had an absolute nightmare there.
  17. I thought Russell was blagging it when he said he stopped to help Zhou, not because his car was too damaged, but the replays suggest the engine was still running and he stopped it himself. Huge respect to him for doing that, and kind of ridiculous that he's not allowed to take the restart if the car is able to. And speaking of restarts, as it was a first lap red flag, I think Sainz goes back on to pole. The red flag looks like it may have been a blessing in disguise. The expected protestors did indeed try and make it on to the track, most of whom were stopped by security before they could, but the ones got through at least didn't have cars at full racing speed. Absolute idiots.
  18. Zhou was the one upside-down, literally sliding that way across the gravel trap and into the barrier. And he's OK!
  19. This Kyrgios/Tsitsipas game was absolutely bonkers. And very difficult to spell. Now for the Kyrgios post-match interview, which could be even more insane.
  20. I'm not sure what's better, Carlos' first pole, Latifi getting to Q3, or Keanu Reeves being perfectly happy to stand out in the rain watching the cars on the old pit straight.
  21. Oh. Well this is awkward, because I've greatly disliked Gobert since his COVID "joke" right at the beginning of the pandemic. Still he's a very good defender, and with no first round picks until seemingly the next decade it means I won't have to stay up all night for a draft for a long, long time.
  22. My mistake, here is my favourite news of the day:
