  1. What a bizarre decision, going from a team which is built around you to a team that is built around an average driver who's always going to get preferential treatment through nepotism, not to mention that the AMs are fundamentally slower than the Alpines. A lot of Fernando's decisions look good on paper and turn out to be bad, this one just looks bad to begin with.
  2. Do they have to face North Macedonia at home though? Because the danger is North Macedonia at home.
  3. Winning a tournament is one thing, but I've found the real challenge is qualifying for the next World Cup.
  4. I'm not saying it was a pre-planned celebration, but if you're gonna whip your shirt off (and knowingly get booked) it's best to do it straight away instead of half-doing it, stopping, then doing it anyway
  5. Huh. I'm pretty sure the ball was heading in and hit Williamson's arm. This ref has been quite inconsistent so far.
  6. Binotto leaving the pitwall with 20 laps to go (and ignoring his contracted media commitment for being available for comment during the race) and running to the hills says all you need to know about Ferrari's management right now. They finally manage to get a race-winning car designed, only for their strategies to be absolutely abysmal.
  7. My initial reaction to that Sainz stop was that they deliberately didn't release him to allow Leclerc to get past, and look what's happened...
  8. GEORGE! Mr. Saturday is back!
  9. The last episode was pretty emotional, and it says a lot that they got Guy Pearce to be such a big part of the last couple of shows (his awkward CGI appearances with Jason and Kylie aside). I think they ticked every box on the way out, like you I haven't watched it for quite some time, but the mainstays helped bridge the gap. I'm sure a lot of the people I didn't recognise were the main cast from the last year and I sort of feel bad that they were pushed aside at the end, but that's kinda how it had to be. I guess it's not an issue now, but I will never, ever, ever get used to Karl Kennedy being bald. Also, it's worth noting that Channel 5 going all-out to exploit the last episode of the show for their channel ratings is a bit of a cheek given that they're the ones that caused it to be cancelled.

    WWE 2K23

I've become somewhat obsessed with them as well, first with a 1993 roster than "wrestlers whose name begins with A" won by Antonio Inoki, eliminating Ax to win. I've found the custom created wrestlers are a bit OP compared to the ones on the game itself.
  11. There's a big part of me that wants the hypothetical rookie to completely out-drive Stroll and see what excuse daddy Stroll comes up with this time.
  12. Well that's the first world champion younger than me to retire, which isn't pleasant. I wasn't a big fan of Seb in his Red Bull days, but he has grown on me a lot in recent years, particularly with his willingness to use his platform to speak about important issues. He is, of course, a fantastic driver. It opens a potential merry-go-round for driver spots, and is a place Ricciardo could land if McLaren decide to bin him off.
  13. Leclerc has said the accident was his fault, but Ferrari have doubled-down on their madness by pitting Sainz with 9 laps to go while he was comfortably faster than the rest of the field. George Russell is the type of guy who overtakes someone after a VSC with some very smart time management. That ends the French Grand Prix at Paul Ricard for the foreseeable future, let us hope it never comes back.
  14. I am so looking forward to the show, a 4th wall break, Wong, funny moments, DAREDEVIL! Just hook it to my veins. Also, from the Hall H presentation:
  15. Here's a playlist of the Hall H presentation broken down into individual movies and TV shows. My main takeaway is that Winston Duke is an absolute fountain of charisma, and I'm kinda sad he doesn't seem to be the one they're making the new lead of the franchise.
  16. Ferrari's continued attempts to avoid winning the title knows no limit. There was no reason for Leclerc to still be out with that much graining. Now Ferrari release Sainz right into Albon's path, so he's screwed too. They've raced every season since 1950, how can they be this bad at managing a race? Turns out the car just broke again, so swap "managing a race" to "designing a car that stays intact".
  17. That's a lot of TV shows and movies that they've listed, and the word Eternals doesn't come up once. All those new characters and it looks like 90% of them will never be seen again.
  18. I'd have more sympathy and less hostility towards the LIV players if it wasn't for two things: - It will always be impossible for me to get behind anyone already making millions of dollars a year deciding they would rather make tens of millions of dollars directly from Saudi Arabia's attempts to deflect their horrific human rights violations. - The pathetic attempts to justify their decision by saying "we're looking to advance the game in new regions" or "trying to help change the culture". You don't care about what women are going through in Saudi Arabia, you don't care about the LGBT community, you don't care about how many people play golf and where they do it, just admit you went for the money and stop lying.
  19. At least Rory isn't throwing this away, but I can't see past Cam Smith roaring past him. The talk is that Smith is joining LIV, so I hope that it doesn't happen. EDIT: And he wins, and immediately refuses to deny he's joining LIV.

    Taskmaster

A wild unaired task from Season 5 appeared:
  21. It's subtle, but if you look very carefully you can spot what might be an attempt at match fixing.
  22. Sorry to quote myself, but I just remembered what was thought to be a spoiler from the first episode's credits, which you're safe to look at now as it has no bearing on Ms. Marvel. I have to assume that it was complete laziness and that they copied and pasted the credits from Hawkeye and didn't change that part of it.
  23. Pardon the pun, but it feels like there's no real endgame in place at the moment, and there are so many things up in the air that aren't being followed up. Perhaps because of everyone doing their own thing that have left so many strands unchecked, but there are so many questions that don't feel like they're going to be answered any time soon. I also wonder if part of the blame goes to the demand for post-credit scenes to be newsworthy, they seem to introduce new characters all the time and I'm starting to wonder if there's a plan in place for any of it. Compare this to phases 1 through 3, where the infinity stones were constantly involved or referenced, and Thanos was an ever-present part of several post-credit scenes and films, before he even appeared as a proper character in Infinity War. Sad as it is to say, I think they'd be better off not introducing mutants and the Fantastic Four until they get a hold on things.
