Very glad I watched the Nets/Pelicans game, mainly to see how well the Pels played, but also because the Nets look like a team of nothing but individuals trying to one-up each other.

I'm tempted to pre-order Gotham Knights as well, loot drop grinding is something I'm not too bothered about, and I might just order it for my XBox Series S to make their FPS sacrifice worthwhile.

The transfer market has completely fallen away now, I've been investing heavily in Alexis Sanchez (buy for 400, sell for 600/1000) which was making a hefty profit last week, now they are not shifting at all even at lowered buy now prices. I've got 56 waiting to be sold, so if anyone needs Alexis Sanchez you know where to go. At least I'm winning fairly comfortably on World Class squad battles now, as well as in Tier 8 of Rivals. The problem is finding the time to play games.

Some random things from opening night: - The Celtics city jersey is sublime. Pickett out with a concussion (sure are a lot more of those in the last couple of weeks, surely they weren't being under-reported previously /s) but the Steelers win with Trubisky at the helm. I have no idea what this team is going to do any given week. Also the only penalty on the play that injured Pickett was offensive holding, nothing about him getting slammed right in the head.

I've played and won 3 Rivals games today, and am yet to play 45 minutes of in-game football. Why do people quit at 1-0?

It's been a frustrating 24 hours, losing SBC matches that eventually dropped me out of Elite 2, the transfer market dying down spectacularly, and losing my first rivals match 5-3 against someone bringing Mbappe off the bench to join his icon Eusebio. I did just beat a fellow Serie A team though, their team was essentially mine but with special players instead of standard ones. All that money and he still quit at 3-1 down.

I decided to venture into online playing and won all three so far. First 1-0 (opponent quit after I scored in the second minute), then 6-0 (opponent quit at half time) and now 5-0 (opponent quit after the 5th). Whilst I don't expect my form to last, it's nice to see that online players are just as rage quitty as the past.

Strong rumours going around that Harrison Ford has signed on to replace the deceased William Hurt as General Ross for Captain America: nWo. I don't understand why this is a good idea outside of the obvious marketing reasons. Surely bringing a younger actor in, maybe as the son of the original Ross, allows more longevity for the character (and a longer run for Red Hulk).

Valentin Zukovsky may be my favourite ever Bond ally, and I fondly remember his cameo as a Moon brother in Frasier. Hell of an actor.

I wanted to see how much I could make a day with my Gold players method, it turns out around 50k (provided I remember to relist every hour). Team-wise I've brought in Feddy Chiesa on the left wing, position-modified Spinnazola back to LB, and bought a RTTK Ikone to come on at half time to terrorise the right wing. I might need to consider upgrading Muriel soon, perhaps with a TOTW Immobile.

Why it's the basis of any sports game in 2022: spending time buying and fictional selling things in an auction house to get more fictional money to spend on better players that you don't use very often because you're busy buying and selling fictional things in an auction house. (I'm sticking with my "buy gold players for 350/400, sell them for 800" plan from the last decade)

I've finally won an SB game on Legendary (77 OVR, 3 Chemistry), went 3-0 up, got pegged back to 3-3, scpred a 94th minute winner. Standard stuff. Pretty much every Phase 5 and Phase 6 movie has had its release date delayed. Most notably, Blade is delayed by 9 months (so instead of a Halloween release it gets the scarier month of June) and Secret Wars has, perhaps unsurprisingly, gone from November to May, so that two Avengers movies in a calendar year is gone.

I think any gifted pack is untradeable, any bought pack or reward pack from playing is tradeable. Just tried one on Legendary, lost 5-1. It took me a while to remember the three key things about Legendary AI: - Any movement forward by the AI has to include a skill move. - Passing between players is super-humanly fast - Anything in the air is won by the AI, unless they know you will head it straight back to them None of that includes the 4th goal where my goalkeeper literally ran the wrong way and left the goal open.

I decided to get it in the end, I did manage to save £60 on a new tablet the other day, and that was enough justification in the end. I'm about 6 hours into my trial and I'm still undecided. I've had to lower myself to playing FUT at Professional because the AI on World Class just irritates me far too much, and I'm nowhere near good enough as a team or a player to try Legendary. Player career has been a revelation, I had no idea it had so much more detail these days, but I'm not sure that will be sufficient for buying it. My favourite part of the game are the really awkward cut scenes in Manager career when you sell someone.

That has to be an all-time great episode performance by Dara. He scored 30 of the available 28 points.

The amount of tanking to try and get this kid is going to be both hilarious and completely understandable.
