I've just noticed my Ikone RTTK card has gone up, giving him 97 pace, so 100 pace when the Hunter chemistry is applied. Of course he still gets out-speeded by AI players with 80 pace, but it's still nice.

Connor Wickham has just scored what has to be the best halfway line goal I've seen. It somehow still managed to go in the top corner.

I was about to give up on FUT after losing three Squad Battles games in a row, with no hope of winning on Rivals, but I somehow won 6-1 against the strongest available team on World Class. I even checked to see if it had dropped me down to Professional without my knowledge but apparently not. I miss the tournament event FIFA had a while ago (possibly Euro 2012 or 16?) where they had a mode that saw you play every team in Europe with you getting a random one of their players if you won. Nothing they've done for World Cups or Euros since has been as interesting as that.

Speaking of the apology, this is very much an instance where I would like to hear the apology come from the person's mouth, rather than something that anyone could have written on his behalf.

I watched the first episode yesterday and it's pretty good, the jokes are a bit hit and miss but there are genuine laugh out loud moments. It's also very much in the Taskmaster universe, if you consider Greg and Alex as playing characters on Taskmaster.

It's amazing how being suspended without pay can make somebody apologise for something. That timing should be all the proof necessary to know that he's only sorry about losing money, not his promotion of anti-semitism material.

I haven't had much time to play so my rewards for this week will be nothing, I did get a Rivals game in last night but lost 2-1 so that doesn't even help me. I'm still struggling to create chances against better players, it's almost like people who know how to defend are good at the game.

It's difficult to have too much sympathy for Nash as he seemed to have zero control, and possibly zero authority, over his team, but this is very much an example of a load of selfish players failing and the coach getting fired for it.

Just to emphasise this, the man who almost certainly had the biggest input in the design of the 2022 car that has won 16 races, the drivers championship (with their other driver 2nd) and the constructors championship, is not included in Red Bull's budget (that they exceeded) because Adrian Newey is not a Red Bull employee, his contract states he is only a consultant.

I'm not as down on Gotham Knights as a lot of people, but there are two things causing me issues; - Not being able to jump unless it's off a building/ledge. It feels so annoying to want to jump but not being able to, particularly during battles because they feel so similar to the Spider-Man games where jumping is a key mechanic in fighting. I'm fairly sure Batman is able to jump in the Arkham games, but I could be wrong. - The grappling mechanic feels off, there will always be an instance every few minutes where I grapple somewhere that I'm not intending to go to without any particular reason, usually going straight up instead of the point in front I was aiming for. I'm also not making much story progress, although that is almost entirely down to getting bogged down going to every crime incident on the map every patrol until I run out of health packs.

Good grief that was dull. It's more exciting off track where initially Max, and now the entire Red Bull team, are boycotting any media engagements with Sky because Ted Kravitz said that Lewis was "robbed" at Abu Dhabi last year during the US Grand Prix race notebook.

I saw a Silver team with 3 chemistry in squad battles and went for it on Legendary. Surely by now this would be a simple 5-0? 7-6 after extra time said diferently. I spent the second half of extra time passing the ball across my back four to avoid any of the insane AI tricks happening, such as the penalty that went against me where I won the ball, or the 68 rated CB with 36 shooting scoring a top corner screamer from a corner played to the edge of the area. Oh, and 36 year old John Ruddy made around 10 world-class saves to deny Shevchenko, Lukaku and Dybala.

I won a game in Div 6! It was incredibly lucky, but it was an opponent who preferred doing skill moves in the penalty area than shooting, so they got what they deserved. I've done the SBC to get Dodo at RB, Lazzari had done nothing wrong but I felt like an upgrade was fun. The Chiesa SBC would be great but I don't need a right-footed right-winger.

With a punishment that insignificant, it's almost like they negotiated it themselves. Oh, wait.

At least justice has been done, even if it is apparently because the Haas protest was submitted too late rather than for any common sense reasons.

It looks like it's so they can focus all their attention on the 2023 game, after all it is the time of year F1 teams stop updating their 2022 model and focus on the 2023 car . From what I've seen it's a game with a really solid foundation, so if they can expand on the 22 version whilst also fixing the bugs (traffic blocking in qualifying, cars unable to unlap themselves and unrealistic crash outcomes seeming to be the main ones) then they should be able to produce the definitive management game.

I stupidly chose the untradeable rewards for Rivals, thankfully I didn't get anything that would have been a massive coin haul. Division 6 is way too strong for me, I need to get relegated ASAP because getting crushed every game isn't something I want to be doing.
