  1. I'd love to know what the Portuguese FA saw in his results with a star-studded Belgian team that won nothing that made them think "yes, this is the guy to bring success to our very promising future generation".
  2. The Bills are the feel good story, so I'd like a Bills/49ers or Bills/Eagles SB. Or give me a Geno Smith ultimate redemption with Bills/Seahawks . I don't mind the Chiefs so if they get through it wouldn't bother me. Naturally I don't want an AFC North team there, nor the Cowboys because of Jerry Jones, or the Bucs for the inevitable Bradymania.
  3. I've got my usual cocktail of weekend games at the moment: - The game in the Yakuza series I'm currently up to (Yakuza 3) - Pokémon Violet while watching TV (or walking if its not raining) - Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 - Forza Horizon 5, just enough to get 20 points on the weekly event to get the exclusive car - Lawn Mowing Simulator - WWE Supercard on my mobile, or NBA Supercard sometimes. It's a lot of games, but it's no more than an hour per game, except for Yakuza and the mobile games.
  4. Looks like a Dolphins FG has kept the Steelers out of the play-offs, but to finish 9-8 (Tomlin's winning record streak intact) after the start we had shows some real encouragement for the future. Meanwhile I have no idea what the Texans and Colts are doing. I'm fairly sure a Colts player just deliberately missed an INT, and the Texans are looking to win and deliberately avoid the #1 pick.
  5. No shots on target in the first half at home to Portsmouth. Back to usual I guess. Ah, the second half warriors have shown up again.
  6. This is very much it, and the presence of Watt and a stronger defence makes Pickett's job in learning as a rookie QB so much easier. The fact that Watt isn't a pro bowl starter is baffling. This is just as important as well. I don't think there's a coach in the league that players are willing to play for more. So many players have said they just want to win to protect his record of never having a losing season. I'm just happy we haven't rolled over and given up like so many teams would do after the start we had and losing Watt to injury.
  7. Very sad news, he had battled cancer multiple times as well. Obviously he was a world-class striker in his day, but his double-act on the touchline with Mancini, both be-decked in their fantastic suits, was one of the highlights of Euro 2020 for me.
  8. I can't wait to hear Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes explain how General Motors may not have the sustained funding for an F1 team to survive.
  9. There's this strange circular number on the Spurs scoreline. It seems vaguely familiar, maybe I just haven't seen it for a while.
  10. This just leaves me wondering whether this was why Gio Reyna wasn't getting much game time, or if it was being done because Gio Reyna wasn't getting much game time. Either way it's utterly bizarre.
  11. Not a lot of darts talk around here, but earlier in the World Championship Final we had the statistically greatest leg of darts in history: Insane.
  12. The Pro Bowl has already changed. It's a skills competition and flag-football game from this year onwards. I think a lot of the decisions, both the confusion about continuing last night and for any potential replay, are going to be driven by TV contract expectations, and any potential breaches of those contracts that may occur if the NFL don't deliver the expected number of games.
  13. Mitchell scores 71 for the Cavs, whilst more and more reports come out about how Gobert is not liked in the Timberwolves organisation as a reason for the roller-coaster of inconsistency, highlighted by beating the Nuggets two days after losing to the tanking Pistons' second unit. Gobert contributed 8 points and 4 rebounds to the Nuggets win, I should add. 6 first round draft picks and three useful bench players for.... this.
  14. Ken Block has died after a snowmobile accident. What a crazy career he had, one of the only motorsport legends who developed their legacy outside of the standard events, but did so to such a degree that he became synonymous with an entire discipline. And 55 is of course far too young.
  15. We are really, really bad. Post-match interviews could be fun, assuming Conte doesn't just get in his car and drive off, throwing the key to the dressing room out of the window as he does.
  16. It's hard to gauge what my favourite game of 2022 is because I utilise GamePass so much so I don't actually know when a game was first released. If I had to guess though: 1. Power Wash Simulator - I don't think I've played a game more than this one throughout the year, I never would have thought a game about power washing could be both so therapeutic and also have a surprisingly good story. 2. Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga - Good grief, the amount of content they put into this game was astonishing, and perhaps explained the amount of delays the game had for its release. I'm annoyed at myself that I never fully completed it, but it's still installed so never say never... 3. Pokémon Violet - I'm still only less than a third of the way through it because of the ridiculously stringent way I play Pokémon games (everything needs to be at the same level - including everything in the boxes - and I catch different type possible) but I've been enjoying it. The performance issues haven't bothered me that much. 4. Gotham Knights - Disparaged by some, but I enjoy playing it. It could probably do with a bit more variety but the grinding isn't something I mind doing. An interesting story as well. 5. FIFA 23 - I'll put this here instead of the usual NBA 2K game as it's been something I've played a lot more than recent FIFA years, and I'm not entirely sure why. Midnight Suns would have probably got on the list if I hadn't banned myself from buying it until I'd finished one of numbers 2-4. Really looking forward to 2023's releases, Spider-Man 2 topping the wishlist at the moment.
  17. I'm relatively new to the NBA from a history perspective, so to those with more knowledge; Where would you rank Luka and the Mavs on the all-time "one man team" scale?
  18. The combination of the graphics (particularly the movement animations) and the lack of features feels like going from playing GTA5 to GTA3. It's really off-putting, and this parent simulator opening is not helping. I'm stick with it though, got to get through them all before I allow myself to play Like A Dragon again...
  19. That's a bad cough. Sounds like you've been using too many of Mission Winnow's parent company's products.
  20. Well my initial reactions are: 1. Kiryu's shoulders are now approximately ten feet wide. 2. Kauro's an entirely different person based on her face. 3. Every cut-scene looks like a PS2 Tekken ending. This might take some time to get used to...
  21. I've just finished Yakzua Kiwami 2: Time for Yakuza 3, which I guess is the first outside the engine made for Yakuza 0. What are the biggest changes?
  22. Be thankful I don't use my powers of foretelling for evil. I know the World Cup and a weekend Christmas caused it, but a Wednesday night at 7pm made it feel like such an afterthought.
  23. FIA bans drivers from making political statements without permission. I'm beginning to think the similarity between the FIA and FIFA is not just how many of the same letters they share.
  24. I'm not sure they'd be able to exert that level of control over it, the phone vote usually ends way after TOTY has been given out.
