  1. As if people didn't want Wrexham to win the replay already...
  2. Either way it doesn't seem very.... sporting. I don't understand why we keep loaning out Gil, he's doing well enough but if he's going to be successful in England he needs to play more in England, not keep reverting back to how he plays in Spain.
  3. Got really greedy with Hitman Freelancer and paid for it. On the New York bank level I killed my three targets with a surprising amount of ease, but had seen that there were free Merces to collect inside the bank vault. I got killed trying to open the vault, not knowing it was a highly suspicious action. Lost around 10,000 merces, my epic silenced silverballer and my trusty lockpick. I can't even be angry at the game, it was entirely my fault.
  4. Perfect picture to use, if nothing else. It wouldn't surprise me if we call it all off because we don't want to do business with them any more.
  5. I've managed to watch Poker Face through... means, and it is really entertaining. It did make me think of a question though: With these shows, do you prefer the "show the murderer at the start, spend the episode watching the detective pin them down" method, or the "show the death at the start with the murderer hidden, spend the episode finding out who did it" method? Personally I think I prefer the latter as the added mystery makes it more intriguing and can provide some big twists, the former usually takes away a lot of interest for me as it's like getting a spoiler for what you're watching from the show itself. That said... Poker Face stuff:
  6. To have all four QBs on your roster injured at the same time is insanely bad luck. Fair play to Purdy for going back in, but I doubt he's going to throw anything other than the shortest of passes, if any passes at all, and the Eagles are going to be sat waiting for every screen or run.
  7. I'm enjoying Freelancer, but one failure seems to destroy everything you've done up to that point, which feels too harsh. Case in point, I failed a Leader mission in Colorado because I got randomly spawned in the middle of the compound in my suit, and naturally got shot by all the hostile armed guards before I could do anything about it. Because of that I failed the mission, failed the syndicate thread, lost my gear I took with me (including a silenced pistol), lost half my merces and somehow even lost items I didn't take with me for good measure. I'm now left with 900 merces, a variety of very loud shotguns that make you immediately notorious if taken as gear, and a hammer.
  8. A fun Reddit thread here delving into the likely manipulation of statistics by the Grizzlies for Jaren Jackson Jr, to the extent of him being credited with blocks and steals where he isn't even involved in the turnover play. My favourite is the one where the ball gets thrown directly to Desmond Bane, and Jackson gets given the steal.
  9. I'm desperate to see Poker Face, but there's nothing scheduled for what channel/streaming service it's going to be on in the UK.
  10. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't confused that so many of the character models in Ishin are the character models of the standard Yakuza protagonists, right down to the eye-patch, despite being centuries apart in time.
  11. I always liked Johnny as a driver and as a personality, but I think the time has probably come where his punditry isn't going to be missed. I wonder if these empty spaces will be filled by a more-active Nico Rosberg now he's no longer banned from the paddock, but I'm more hoping a certain more-recently retired German world champion might try his hand in front of the camera...
  12. Can't give a release date for Forza, but I'm sure glad I now know about the concept of paint flaking and dirt build-up.
  13. Hitman's new Freelancer mode is due to go live tomorrow, I've been following this intently yet somehow they snuck the announcement in a press release that I didn't see until last night. I'm very much looking forward to it, even if I feel it's going to be very difficult. Details
  14. Babyface? Sounds like a good guy.
  15. To seemingly continue the trend of the better superhero video games struggling to get high sales numbers (see Guardians of the Galaxy), Midnight Suns was only the 14th highest-selling game on PS5 in December in the US, behind even Spider-Man Miles Morales which came out in 2020, and not even in the top 20 for Europe. Meanwhile, Gotham Knights, whilst not "bad", doesn't have anywhere near the same level of critical acclaim, is still selling far more. Granted I haven't bought Midnight Suns yet, so I'm not exactly helping.
  16. I have a soft spot for Monk. The writing, humour and the mysteries themselves are all spot on, and Tony Shalhoub knocks everything out of the park. Plus the theme tune is tremendous. My only complaint with it is that I bought all the seasons on DVD, only for them to appear as part of Prime Video three weeks later.
  17. Always baffles me that they let a team wear all white on a snow game. Not that it seems to be bothering the Bengals, down the field in 3 minutes..
  18. I'm the same, I just took a look at the current champions and the only ones I recognise are Amanda Nunes and Leon Edwards, but Edwards only because he's British and got some publicity here. I want to get back into it but the combination of the over-saturation of events and the increased difficulty of watching it makes it hard to warrant the necessary time it would take to get up to speed.
  19. Power Wash Simulator comes to PS4, PS5 and Switch this month, and throws some free Tomb Raider-related DLC in for everyone too. Just hook it to my veins.
  20. Jesus Christ Hugo. I've been a big supporter for a long time, but my patience is wearing thin.
  21. Sigh. It's the inevitability that hurts the most. And that was written before the second.
  22. This team is impossible to understand. And by "this team", I could mean either of them.
  23. I like 5 set games, it gives us matches like Murray's, but there's also the equal pay debate as playing a maximum 5 sets for the same money as playing a maximum of 3 sets has never seemed right to me. Turn everything into 3 sets and that goes away. Murray though... the man is incredible. He's held together by metal and hope yet his determination is endless. He deserves so much more respect than he'll get from people who just look at his major victories.
  24. Very British-centric news, but the BBC are going to start broadcasting live games until the end of the season, starting with the Paris game on Thursday. I'm going to go out of my way to watch it in the slim hope that it helps get some more coverage in the UK.
