  1. Somewhere Tim Sherwood is rubbing his hands, waiting for the call to come back to Spurs for 6 weeks.
  2. The guest stars in the latest Mandalorian episode are an insane bunch.
  3. I've got a rotation of games going while I'm off work: Chef Life Restaurant Simulator - seriously, I can't stop playing it, even though each service takes an hour. Rock Band 3 - on keyboard, playing guitar, bass and key parts of every song (not at the same time). MLB 23 The Show - RTTS, playing as a slugger 1B and hitting .771 in the minors whilst being a liability on defence. Forza Horizon 5 - Rally Adventure DLC F1 22 - MyTeam mode, finished 4th in my debut in Bahrain after a suspicious safety car caused by an "aggressive" block of Lewis Hamilton which caused a pile-up. Normally finishing between 8th and 12th.
  4. Oh Moura, that's not wise. I'm getting more than a little annoyed at Don Goodman saying "Tottenham Hotspurs". And there's the inevitable.
  5. This inability to pass the ball around in defence is not going to be solved by Davison Sanchez.
  6. It baffles me that Pickford went left, I don't remember Kane going that way for years.
  7. Sainz has got a 5 second penalty (putting him 12th) and Haas are protesting the decision to revert to the previous lap's standings, so that Hulkenberg podium isn't out of the question... (It is, they have no hope of winning that protest)
  8. I tapped out literally seconds before Russell retired, and watched the rest this morning. I was very, very much hoping that they kept the standings the same, gave Sainz a 5 second penalty, and put Hulk on the podium .
  9. This feels so unfair to George and the rule needs changing. Either they need to stop the free tyre change at a red flag, make the red flag decision much faster, or set the positions back to how they were when the safety car was put out.
  10. Well that was an opening lap to keep me awake. Max complaining about being overtaken reinforces why I can't seem to get behind him, as if he wouldn't do the exact same thing.
  11. Ah, the bare minimum. What an achievement.
  12. Completed Midnight Suns tonight after roughly five weeks of playing an hour a day, I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed it. I did a Light side playthrough, and am looking forward to a few months down the line when I'll give it another go on the Dark side. It's not perfect, graphically it's a bit lacking and I can understand how the gameplay wouldn't appeal to everyone, but I really hope we get a sequel for the story alone. The sales don't seem to be too favourable so perhaps it isn't likely, but surely 2K can spare some of the money they make off WWE and NBA microtransactions to fund it...
  13. In surprising, but better news: Liv Tyler to return as Betty Ross for Captain America: nWo And in much better news, here's Jeremy Renner walking for the first time since his accident.
  14. For what it's worth, the latest story is: The taxi will have security footage and a driver as a witness, so I have to assume his lawyer's confidence this all will be dropped is based on those. If that is all true, there's still the many reports of his unpleasant behaviour to deal with.
  15. The thing is, if the charges are dropped in New York, and his lawyers seem very confident they will be, unless someone else presses charges I can see Marvel keeping him on and hoping it blows over. Different company I know, but Ezra Miller is about to star in a superhero movie, and they're an even bigger PR disaster zone. I should note that I don't want that to happen, just thinking what a movie studio is likely to do with the situation as it currently is.
  16. Directors are now speaking out about his "cruel and sociopathic behaviour in both his professional and personal life". I knew he was too good to be true.
  17. Forwards in particular have been a massive issue, and, with the exception of Chiesa who is seemingly permanently injured, shows how winning Euro 2020 was almost entirely down to our defence. Immobile is still considered the main striker but he has never been able to replicate his club scoring form in internationals. Retegui has Italian grandparents (and at least has a more Italian sounding name than Jorginho), there were suggestions he hadn't set foot in Italy before arriving for this international period's training camp but I doubt that's true. He scored, so that's something I guess, and when Scamacca is your nearest competition he should be around for a while. Gnonto was impressive, but I fear his style of play is always going to better suited as an impact sub than playing 90 minutes.
  18. We're made up of Donnarumma, and a mix of players past their prime or completely unproven, with a decent striker nowhere in sight. I'm just happy we played this well in the second half.
  19. Yeah, England fans would never do anything like that. I'm not sure what thread is best to use, but from an Italian perspective this referee has been very good in the second half. I also have no idea why Jack Grealish is considered to be so good.
  20. There's very little to like about this current Italian side. Even our kit is the wrong shade of blue. Happy that Harry has the record now though.
  21. Episode 4 was superb, highlighted of course by:
  22. As part of yesterday's Alonso post I initially wrote there were rumours that she was responsible for the recent VFX issues because of her instigating a toxic "with us or against us" policy where VFX studios got blackballed for not meeting Marvel's expectations of both quality at unreasonable turnaround, and the lengths that they go to to prevent leaks. But I had no sources, so I deleted it. Anyway, here's a source. It seems to be stirring up a strange mix of people accusing her of being the sole person responsible for Marvel's issues, to people saying that she's being scapegoated for being an LGBTQ+ woman in the movie industry. As with all things in 2023 the concept of a middle ground is seemingly not an option.
  23. Victoria Alonso has left Marvel Studios, she has been Kevin Fiege's right hand woman since 2012 after being on the team before even the first Iron Man film in 2006, and her departure is more than a little surprising.

    WWE 2K23

I'm doing an AI only Universe mode, but trying to move some of the sliders to make them more entertaining matches. Unfortunately Damian Priest just beat Omos in 2 minutes after one finisher with Omos only on yellow body damage, so maybe I've overpowered finishers a bit. I've also chucked all the unlocked legends into a WCW show, so look forward to Hulk Hogan vs. Doink the Clown in an arena near you.
  25. Everyone seems to agree that both penalties were a bit overboard, the starting position one because it didn't get him any advantage (and all the drivers are saying they can't see far enough out of the cockpit to judge properly), and that there was an agreement in place about what constitutes "working on the car" which is why the second penalty got removed. Hopefully they can sort this out before Australia because these rules seem way too open to interpretation right now.
