  1. Richard Sherman has tweeted Lynch to say it was an honour to share a locker room with him. Retirement seems likely, but the neon green cletes could suggest he's just leaving Seattle. EDIT: Pfft, even at 3:30am I get out-reported by Lineker :-(. Can't believe he's only 29.
  2. You can't go now @metalman, you'll miss the owner getting to lift the trophy ahead of the people who did all the work! And also all the players thanking God for deciding that their team should win the game instead of the other team's religious players because He cares about this sort of thing.
  3. winningest ˈwɪnɪŋɪst/ adjective NORTH AMERICANinformal having achieved the most success in competition. "the winningest coach in pro-football history"
  4. This Broncos defence just simply do not get tired. Just brutal.
  5. That was a 2 point conversion. A team can opt to do a normal play and score 2 points if they succeed instead of the 1 point for kicking a field goal after a touchdown.
  6. Great for Peyton, hopefully he retires on the win. I'm glad he won't end his career with less SB rings than Eli (hopefully) and this win takes him ahead of Favre as the most winningest Quarterback in NFL history.
  7. This referee loves his dramatic announcements. "Prior to the pass.... Holding......................................... DEFENCE NUMBER 63" And that is the icing on the cake.
  8. Quick note for MDK and Metalman, "last five minutes" actually means "last 30 minutes" in the world of NFL.
  9. It seems odd that the Broncos are running down the clock so early, obviously they're assuming their defence will hold the Panthers every time.
  10. Yup, in the NFL playoffs there is unlimited overtime. If a team scores a touchdown on the first drive they win, if they don't and the opposition match their driver (Field Goal or nothing) then the first team to score points wins.
  11. The two middle guys are former players but Mike Carlson has been a staple of NFL coverage in the UK for a long time, at least until this season when Sky poached the rights to every game. For some reason Sky have never tried to hire him, probably because he's better than everyone they have combined. He's just an expert at analysing the game, breaking it down for those who don't understand the nuances, and also being very funny. Plus he's a old-school wrestling fan who has done heel commentary in the past. He also responds to me when I tweet him. Simply put Mike Calrson is the best pundit in the world and MANNING JUST FUMBLED.
  12. I saw about eight Broncos on the line of scrimmage and thought "Cam's getting sacked here". Yup.
  13. Let's watch Tom Brady getting hit by Michael Strahan more.
  14. Holy crap. Interception, fumble, but Broncos ball. Newton seems to be crumbling under the pressure.
  15. Mega catch there, to beat Talib and Ward in double coverage is a big feat.
  16. A wild Lewis Hamilton appeared! I'm sure he will be his usual level of excitement.
  17. Missed field goal? Typical Scot.
  18. This Panthers' run on 1st down philosophy is becoming hilariously awful.
  19. They tried but the crowd wasn't behind them. Too much interference which Coldplay no-sold. Botched finish as well. **1/4.
  20. And now back to our regular scheduled warbling. And here are some clips of much better performers than Coldplay!
  21. Surprised they let the "hot damn"s through the overly officious censors. And here's Beyonce. A guest star has never overshadowed a main performer like this.
  22. There is very little movement in the crowd that is not on the field. Other than those going to vendors or bathrooms. Well Uptown Funk just improved this 10000%.
  23. Why are they playing saxophones? WHAT PART OF THIS SONG CONTAINS SAXOPHONES?
  24. This time last year I was watching Katy Perry. Now I'm watching Chris Martin jump around in some kind of LSD-inspired fantasy sequence.
  25. America can keep Corden for as long as they want. History suggests that will be for about a year until people realise other people were the reason behind his success, see Jones, Ruth.
