The new season starts on Sunday and it starts with the news that Mercedes have taken up an option to join next season which should pretty much guarantee this series staying around for a while. I appreciate the effort they've gone to for player-specific commentary, but the lack of taking context into account is a bit off. For example, I just scored a goal with Dele Alli where he missed from five yards out by hitting it straight at the keeper, went for the rebound, fell over, and in the process bundled the ball into the goal. The commentary? "Dele Alli scores here, and as with everything he does there's an element of grace about it." No, there wasn't.

What I don't understand is that is is completely apparent what gets Conor his shots ahead of everyone else, his charisma and willingness to put himself out there to make a name for himself to get opportunities, and yet still 99% of the UFC roster continue to just go along not doing anything to make them better known to the mainstream, waste their promo time after they win by saying they'll fight whoever they're told to, and then complain that someone who is doing these things is getting opportunities they're not.
