  1. Infinity War has passed the billion dollar receipt mark after just 11 days, and it hasn't even been released to the billion people in China yet.
  2. Can't say I'm a big fan of that layout, the length of those straights is ridiculous. I mean I like Monza and the old Hockenheim, but their layouts were historic, this looks like straights for the sake of straights. And two years ago who would have thought that people would be looking at the Azerbaijan street circuit as the blueprint for future tracks? Meanwhile Fernando Alonso won in his first ever WEC race today, because of course he did, he's Fernando Alonso.
  3. Beyond Two Souls is a free PS+ game this month, is it worth investing my bank holiday weekend in?
  4. In the most news I've heard in a while, Ant-Man and the Wasp will be released in the US on July 6th and pretty much worldwide by July 8th, except in the UK when it's August 3rd. Because... I have no idea. But I'm guessing avoiding spoilers for a month will be nigh on impossible.
  5. Imagine if there was just some way of this being predicted before he signed for a team with seven more talented central midfielders in their squad.
  6. The F1 group have trademarked the term "Shoey", because there's no law against sucking the fun out of everything for money.
  7. The Cavs are going to be so screwed when LeBron decides to go. I feel sorry for the Pacers, they're probably a better team, but one man is just too much of a difference maker.
  8. I kinda feel the need to play Devil's Advocate here. Hank Azaria also plays Carl and Drederick Tatum, but he's not black. Dan Castellaneta plays Krusty and the Old Jewish Man, but he's not Jewish. Nancy Cartwright plays Bart, Nelson, Ralph etc., but she's not a 10 year old boy. I realise that these are extreme examples, but personally I don't see voice acting as the same thing as live action roles, and people's voice acting talents may get them roles that aren't based on their appearance, gender or background. I don't see it the same as Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany's, or any of the other major awful racist castings in the past, or the whitewashing that still happens in film and TV today. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe because The Simpsons has been such a pivotal part of my life that I don't want to consider its wrongdoings, and that makes me part of the problem, but to me Apu is a popular animated character who has been the focal point of many episodes, almost always in a positive light and in many episodes teaching people about his culture. I don't see how who is voicing that animated character makes any difference to the message the character sends out. If I'm wrong, then please teach me why. But please try to do so without personal attacks because I really can't handle that sort of thing (which is why I don't make these sort of posts very often).
  9. Yeah it could well have been. Meanwhile Grosjean has just driven into a wall under the safety car and tried blaming Marcus Ericsson who was 200 yards away
  10. Well that Red Bull incident was just waiting to happen, I'm just surprised it was Danny Ric that hit Max.
  11. I've never been to a cinema by myself (hate being around people etc.) but I made an exception because I just had to see this before all the details got spoiled in various places. I am so glad I did.
  12. The Simpsons has hit episode 636, passing Gunsmoke to be the longest running scripted prime time show in history. To celebrate, here's the Steamed Hams sketch with Jeff Goldblum as Principal Skinner.
  13. Hallelujah for this graphic taking the sight of the halo out of the equation.
  14. I'm playing catch-up, and I'm crying like a baby at Ryan Shazier walking out to announce the pick. God bless that man.
  15. Don't worry, there's no incredibly recent evidence of Roma overturning a first leg deficit against a better side at home.
  16. The Wolves didn't get swept! Take THAT #1 seeds!
  17. Far be it for me to be overwhelmingly negative, but I think that might be the straw that breaks the camel's back and makes Alli and Kane decide to leave in the summer, maybe Eriksen too. If we can't win a semi final at our home stadium we're probably never going to win anything with this team.
  18. I love The Nights as well but it's got a real tragic meaning to it now. It's all about his father telling him to live life to the fullest, and essentially the illnesses he's suffered from constant drinking and partying him have likely ended up being responsible for his death. R.I.P.
  19. I don't know if it warrants its own thread, but Dale Winton has died
  20. If the Pacers end up sweeping the Cavs that would just be fantastic. What would be even better is if BT could show more than 1 game a day, but I guess three hours of ESPN Classic Boxing has to take priority.
  21. When I was young I was pretty scared of Kane's mask, but I was only a child. I have now grown into an adult and I am even more scared of Joel Embiid's mask. Also go Wolves! Try to avoid the inevitable sweep!
  22. I read that headline wrong the first time and got very confused. I missed the "& Johnson-" and thought I'd gone back in time to 1984.
