  1. (Sir) Alastair Cook's final game was just utterly incredible, from his making a century in his final innings to Jimmy Anderson taking the final wicket of his best mate's England career to become the most successful fast bowler of all time. Granted I watched a documentary on it last night so it's fresh in my mind. The Timberwolves winning in OT in the final regular season game to get into the play-offs ahead of the defeated Nuggets was the one and only highlight of their year. The World Cup was fun from start to finish, even outside of the England matches. Also Spurs finished ahead of Arsenal, so that was nice.
  2. I started the epilogue in spectacular fashion...
  3. Just finished it this evening and it's so emotional at the end.
  4. There's a BBC headline entitled "Jon Jones: I'm the comeback story people want". He really doesn't have a clue does he, unless he's just completely trolling, but I genuinely think he believes he is a hero in all of this.
  5. I've started watching the 4 and a half hour video of every conceivable Detroit Become Human ending. The vast majority are not full of festive cheer.
  6. You get experience points from making captures, you then send your unneeded captured Pokémon to Professor Oak as per Pokémon Go, he gives you candies that boost the stats of whatever you're using. The harder the catch (and if you get a streak of catching the same Pokémon going) the more experience points get generated. It all goes to the six party Pokémon as well, not just one of them.
  7. It does seem a bit one-dimensional as an "adventure" mode, I still long for the days of The Subspace Emissary which was just so great, not just from the story perspective but in that it forced you to fight as different characters as the storyline progressed. Also I miss trophies, and the bios that accompanied them, particularly now there are so many different games being covered that I haven't played and would like some kind of background information on the spirit characters. This is all a bit nit-picky though as I'm still playing it whenever I get the chance.
  8. Full details on the UK TV dealings from the Observer newsletter: I did wonder why I could never find it on my Sky box.
  9. Isabelle and that damn fishing pole. The only thing is if she misses she's wide open for attacking for a bit. I've become obsessed with getting new spirits from the spirit board, more than doing anything else in the game. I'm still sticking to playing as DK like I have in previous games, apparently I hate change.
  10. I can't actually watch the Shazier video yet, but just the still image of him holding a dumbbell is fantastic. Meanwhile the Kaepernick/Washington refusal if nothing else will give him the absolute definitive evidence he needs to prove the league owners are conspiring against hiring him. Since Josh Johnson last threw an NFL pass, Kaepernick has won an NFC Championship and appeared in two other NFC Championship games.
  11. To be fair, something I rarely am to the Stroll family, it must be hard not to be able to just name the team after yourself like Williams, McLaren, Jordan, Tyrrell, Brabham, Ligier, Prost etc. A name like Stroll doesn't exactly resonate with "speed".
  12. There was a Luke Morris, but who knows who that might be?
  13. I'm willing to give Ferrari more of a pass because that name is more in the hands of their sponsors. Racing Point had a blank slate to choose anything and they opted for a name that is the literal definition of 10th place.
  14. News from the official entry list: Racing Point F1 is official (and is officially awful) Ferrari’s official entry name is ‘Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow.’ Haas is ‘Rich Energy Haas F1 Team’ McLaren and Williams have no title sponsor as expected. Lando Norris will be #4 George Russell will be #63 Robert Kubica will be #88 Antonio Giovinazzi will be #99 Alexander Albon remains TBC.
  15. I'm back playing as I always seem to do when a new season comes around. Annoying the team I created and left someone in charge of won't let me back in as they've grown to Gothic tier and I'm still at Goliath. Apparently I can come back when I'm at SS18, i.e. when I pro my Gothic Buddy Murphys.
  16. I think so far you've pretty much done the exact same route that I did, except (Chapter 8 and 9)
  17. I did, but at least Diniz had the decency to never have a seat in what could be considered a top 5 team, and he at least scored some points even when they only went down to sixth place.
  18. There has been no less deserved promotion in the history of sport than Stroll moving up the field. He didn't even beat Sorotkin in the qualifying battle for the season. Realistically Red Bull's 2018 chassis was far and away the best (and may well have been for the last few years) but Renault's limitations let them down. I can only see them flying to the front or falling into the midfield next year. Mick Schumacher has an F2 seat confirmed so he will almost certainly be on the radar for 2020.
  19. On my walking route is a house sandwiched between a proper church (gym), the village war memorial (Poké Stop) and a smaller church/meeting place (gym), all of which the house is within the radius of. The occupants of this house are a deeply religious family who don't allow any of their 8 children to own a mobile phone, and the family themselves don't have a TV or computer either. This house is wasted on them. Also I'm very much enjoying Let's Go, the joy of breaking through a combo streak to get the special Pokémon in the area is unmatched, as is when you (seemingly) randomly get 650XP for your 18th Psyduck catch.
  20. To me the best part of it all is hearing all the classic Gen 1 music re-mastered into a full 2018 video game score.
  21. Let's Go seems fun in a nostalgia way but I'm concerned at how easy it seems to be. Maybe I'm not the age bracket it's aimed at. In unrelated news I have changed the notifications on my phone to play the "Pokémon Evolution complete" jingle from R/B/Y and it has made me very happy.
  22. I don't think I have the words to explain how I feel about that. Something along the lines of complete confusion mixed with utter delight.
  23. I think I might just give up on this season and wait for the regime change in the summer. Saric and Covington don't really offer much other than depth, and the only positive to come from this might be getting KAT motivated again.
  24. Yeah, that's not a good thing to be doing. Speaking of that, Dr. Helmut Marko has stated he believes Ocon did it on purpose because he has the Mercedes drive in 2020. #OconspiracyTheory
