  1. I remember six weeks ago when we were called the best One Day team in the world. It's just a shame we had to prove it.
  2. Unfortunately for Broad his not walking was for edging the ball to slip (off the 'keeper's gloves) rather than a standard caught behind issue, but he wasn't given out so I'm not sure what he's meant to do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHhZb-cBKwc
  3. Nope, it means you understand that people have the right to demonstrate their feelings towards individuals who have brought the entire sport in to disrepute. The hypocrites are the Australians who boo Stuart Broad for not walking all those years ago, yet think people booing Warner and Smith is uncalled for.
  4. The Cameroon coach: It's like he thinks VAR provides some kind of suggested action that the referee can disregard. She was offside, that's just a fact, there's no choice as to whether the goal stands or not.
  5. Oh absolutely, but just by saying that they are opening up a thoughtless debate regarding the matter. Given the state of that last tackle only getting a yellow card, I can only assume that a Mortal Kombat-style fatality would be sufficient for a red card.
  6. The Cameroon players were talking about FIFA being racist as they went off for half time, so the full time whistle isn't going to be the end of this madness.
  7. There have been two televised overtakes so far, making this race infinitely better than yesterday's Formula E race.
  8. I accidentally shot the Mexican guy during the shooting contest. Then he miraculously came back again later on and bared me no ill will as he beat me and took my money.
  9. No idea what Vettel's doing, but it's great to see the McLarens 5th and 6th.
  10. Tacko Fall looks to be signing with the Celtics. I'm sure he's healthy but Bol Bol looked like a slight breeze would snap him in half. 7'2" and 208lbs just sounds like it doesn't work.
  11. Every game is must-win now, and this inconsistency doesn't fill me with any confidence at all.
  12. I forgot my favourite part of the draft; Adam Silver versus the annoying jingle that plays before every pick.
  13. The NBA take a ridiculously long time to approve trades, even something as straightforward as a pick swap. As a result we get teams having to make picks on behalf of other teams, and the awkwardness of someone being drafted to a team they're not playing for. There's not many things the NBA could learn from the NFL, but draft night is one of them.
  14. Wasn't expecting Culver, and I wish they hadn't compared him to Jimmy Butler, but anyone who's a scorer is welcome. Also, let's just say the trades are official and let people wear the right hats shall we?
  15. I'm already sick of them spoiling picks before they happen, obviously the top four were expected but Garland wasn't a certainty.
  16. The Hawks have taken the #4 pick from the Pelicans in exchange for the 8th, 17th and 35th pick, plus the contract of Solomon Hill.
  17. I prefer the Let's Go system for catching, but for levelling up I would prefer a more standard version of grinding and not having to rely on catching combination multipliers of the same Pokémon to get a decent amount of XP. That and if you're as ridiculous about things as I am (LEVEL EVERYTHING UP EVEN IF I NEVER USE IT!) then you run out of money/balls far too quickly.
  18. I wish they didn't have to re-release it just to get the #1 spot, it's obviously the biggest film ever and Avatar's double release so you can watch it again with some glasses is skewing the numbers.
  19. Well I was partly right, what I didn't count on was them just giving up whenever a situation looks a bit difficult. I've never seen a less interested team than against England and the second innings against Bangladesh. Meanwhile India/Pakistan drew a global audience of 1.4 billion yadda yadda yadda. India are winning this now, unfortunately.
  20. It kinda reminds me of how I used to play Fantasy Football, spending all my budget on two of three good players and filling the rest with players from Wigan or Hull. I didn't win much.

    Taskmaster

Paul Sinha has revealed that he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, which is the basis of the shoulder injury that has been affecting him during the tasks. It's a real shame but he seems to be taking a very positive approach to dealing with it.
  22. Given the way the Knicks are run, the #3 pick.
  23. As of right now this trade works for everybody, with the possible exception of the Ball family; Pelicans get a huge haul of future picks and good talent, Lakers get AD and momentum, AD gets the merchandise deals he wants, LeBron gets someone else to blame someone who can dominate a game. In three years time when LeBron is retired and the Lakers haven't had a first round pick in forever, the only way they can be winners in the trade is if they win a championship in that time. And I don't think they will. I just hope Kyle Kuzma doesn't spend those three years sitting on the bench watching LBJ and AD on the court, although given the lack of depth in the squad I expect he'll be playing 45 minutes a game.
  24. Steve Kerr said that Klay came off the court and told him "two minutes rest and I'll be ready" after a devastating knee injury. The dude is a warrior, literally as well as being employed as one.
  25. Despite that I'm happy for the Raptors, and it's great that Nick Nurse has achieved this after all his success in the British Basketball League. Even if it never produces any NBA talent at least we produced an NBA championship winning coach!
