Also the Lakers went from 37-45 with LeBron in 18/19 to 52-19 with LeBron and AD in 19/20, so you have to give a lot of the credit to the Lakers rise to Davis. Giannis on the other pretty much carries the Bucks. Anyone like Middleton, Lopez etc. who have improved in the last two seasons have done so mainly because teams are only concentrating on stopping Giannis.

My thoughts when I was posting was more to do with the defending, particularly the marking, which has been a recurring theme of both games I've seen. To get back to 4-3 showed great heart though, which is more than a lot of teams do. I'm probably also annoyed I took Mitrovic out of my FL team after he didn't start last week.

It's really hard to comprehend that these two teams were in the same division last year. Fulham are woeful.

Just finished my first season and the driver changes are... let's say, unrealistic. Firstly I signed Gasly to be my team-mate. Vettel retired, and was replaced by Kyvat. The two Alpha Tauri seats were taken by Nick de Vries, and in a perfectly normal move, MAX VERSTAPPEN. His vacant Red Bull seat was taken by Danny Ricc. And his Renault seat was taken by... Anthoine Hubert. Which just feels very weird. I get having him in the game as a tribute, but having him be an active part of future driver moves that plot a path that was taken away from him makes the situation a bit depressing. Raikkonen also retired and was replaced by Mick Schumacher, so my old team-mate keeps racing.

For some reason I don't dislike the Patriots as much this year as in many previous years. It's almost like half of my issue with them has... gone somewhere warmer.

Third corner crash on the first lap took out Gasly and Verstappen, and this clusterfuck on the safety car restart took out the others. Somehow Romain Grosjean has been involved in both and is still running.

Good grief, this race isn't going anywhere. It's amazing how the same cars have managed to crash twice. Bizarre safety car management from Bottas who could essentially be held responsible for this.

Cool. So, no more new teams then. Can't wait for those 6 car fields in 2030. I hope they add that realism to the next F1 game's MyTeam mode, and your bank balance starts off at -$200 million.

Back down to Earth with a bump for Pierre . Also it transpires Checo learned about his sacking from Racing Point directly from Lawrence Stroll himself, although only because Stroll was in the hotel room next to Perez and was talking so loudly he could be heard giving his lawyers instructions for Vettel's contract through the wall.

My favourite contestants are Al Murray for his unrepentant spending, Josh Widdecombe for his puppy-like enthusiasm, Richard Osman for his thinking, Mel Giedroyc for her relentless energy despite constantly doing terribly, and Tim Vine because he's Tim Vine. Least favourites are Noel Fielding and Rhod Gilbert, Fielding because I don't find anything he says or does funny, and Rhod because I found the majority of what he did a combination of unbothered and lazyness. I know the scoring system is hardly scientific, but Greg seemingly always giving Noel unwarranted points didn't help me like Noel more.

I can't help feeling the timing of this is very coincidentally timed with Stroll's podium, as if to give them an immediate answer to the question: "Why Sergio instead of Lance?".
