  1. I remember last year, after the first round I was 4th in Tottenham fans and 4th in Australia, sucked it up the second round then promptly forgot about it >_>

    Shadow President

For some reason I always used to get my arse handed to my by Iraq. Annoyed me to no end <_
  3. Not sure, but maybe your playing too defensive or with a counter attack, which might work against top sides, but not the bottom sides. That or you're just been unlucky.
  4. Man, this is pissy. With Tottenham, I seem to dispose of all the good teams (Man Utd 2-0, Liverpool 3-1 (away), Arsenal 4-0) but when it comes to the easier teams (Reading 1-3, West Ham 1-3, Gelsenkirchen 4-0 (at home and after I'd won the first leg 3-0) I choke. Is it a thing that can be fixed by doing something or other? EDIT: Add to that just beating Chelsea 2-1 away. And now I've lost both Defoe and Berbatov to 2+ month long injuries. Farkin' hell.
  5. Out of the three actual central defenders (Kisnorbo, Beauchamp, Milligan) Kisnorbo looks the best by far. Piss Wilkshire off, stick Neill at left back and stick Beauchamp in the middle. Thwaite I have NFI. Or, failing that, bring back Kevin Muscat! I'd like to have seen him against Oman >_>
  6. Yeah, key too. Just versed Fulham away in my first league match. The team I used was as follows: GK: Paul Robinson DR: Pascal Chimbonda DL: Lee Young-Pyo DC: Anthony Gardner DC: Ricardo Rocha MR: Aaron Lennon ML: Stewart Downing (signed him pre-season) MC: Tom Huddlestone MC: Didier Zokora AMC: Jermaine Jenas FC: Alberto Bueno (loan) Bench: Cerny, Stalteri, Tainio, Ghaly, Dag Alexander Olsen Seeing as Olsen was my number 2 striker I only started with the 1. King, Dawson, Malbranque, Defoe, Mido, Keane and Berbatov were all injured. Anyway, Fulham were absolutely dominating but Robinson kept them at bay almost single-handedly. Lee was injured in the 28th minute so I brought Stalteri on for him and Gardner had a minor injury at the time. I subbed him off at 67 for Tainio (with Huddlestone dropping back to DC) and Bueno off for Olsen. With 3 minutes to go, it's still 0-0 despite me only having one shot which wasn't on target and them having at least 10. Then, Dag Alexander Olsen intercepts a back-pass and has a free shot at goal to give us the win. Freakin' Dag Alexander Olsen.
  7. This is rubbish. Started a new game with Tottenham, and after 6 weeks Berbatov, Defoe, Keane and Mido are all out injured, ranging from a month to 3 months. I loaned this Spanish dude Alberto Bueno who looks alright but I'll have to rely on my shit strikers for a couple of games.
  8. Don't worry, the Oman supporters will be on here in a bit
  9. Team I'd play: GK: Mark Schwarzer DR: Brett Emerton DL: Lucas Neill DC: Patrick Kisnorbo DC: Michael Beauchamp MR: Mark Bresciano ML: Harry Kewell MC: Tim Cahill MC: Vincenzo Grella FC: Mark Viduka FC: John Aloisi OR GK: Mark Schwarzer DR: Lucas Neill DL: Michael Thwaite DC: Patrick Kisnorbo DC: Michael Beauchamp MR: Brett Emerton ML: Mark Bresciano MC: Tim Cahill MC: Vincenzo Grella FC: Mark Viduka FC: Harry Kewell Gees we lack a lot in the back. An injury Neill or Kisnorbo and we're shot. Don't know much about our central defenders, so I could be off a bit there. In the midfield, Grella should be a good foil to Cahill. Sterjovski will probably get a game or two starting on the left wing as well as he looked good there against Uruguay. If anyone else apart from Kewell, Viduka or Aloisi starts up front (ie. Thompson or Holman) we're in trouble =/ I'd ask for CWB's starting team, but I'd just be expecting a lot of Nick Carle >_>

  11. They have 'Undug, Gleeban, Gloutan, Globan' (whatever the fark that is) at the start and the count-in a verse later.
  12. LOTR: Return of the King, charge of the Rohirrim I still literally get chills every time I watch this scene. It's just amazing stuff. Bernard Hill just nails it and I love him for it. Brilliant directing, and the music just makes it so much more. Unfortunately, it's missing the first horn that Gandalf hears (chills, again). Some spoilers below in case you haven't seen the entire thing: Spoiler: Click here to viewIt really helps if you get the context of it, I feel. In The Two Towers he was put forward as a man of greed- he fell to Saruman through it and at Helm's Deep he wanted to go out and fight for the wrong reasons (so he could be remembered, not for his people). But you could see the change in him in ROTK (thanks to Aragorn and Gandalf) and he decides to go on this suicide mission for the people of Rohan and Gondor. Just having him lead the charge is awesome stuff. The second part is linked there in the side menu too, which is also great (just the whole 'Oh, shit. Fucking Oliphants').

  14. If the 'Be a Pro' mode is from a behind-the-head third-person view (I dunno, like San Andreas or Bully (first examples that came to my head )) and not like the Pro Evo mode where you can choose to be only one person but the camera follows the ball around, that'd be ruddy awesome. ^ That sounds way too confusing for something so simple >_<
  15. Skoko didn't want in and wants to commit to Wigan. Chipperfield's wife has gotten preggo and he wants to be with her. McDonald got left out so he could settle in at Celtic. Good squad, but our backs are missing a bit of depth.

  17. Note: Not the real Charlie Pace.

  18. Also, I wouldn't really classify Locke as a "friend" of Jack's, considering the run-in's they've had over the first three seasons, which could escalate into much more later.
