  1. Leafs trade Beauchemin to Ducks Coming off a good stretch (4 wins in 5 games), it is good to see Burke is maintaining his cool and continuing to rebuild. Gardiner sounds like a highly rated prospect and was the 17th overall pick in 2008. Lupul is an upgrade on Joey Crabb on the wing, but he is more of a salary swap then anything. When I heard of the trade, I was worried since Beauch was eating up a ton of minutes. His stats don't show that he was always playing against the toughest opponents for us. Looking at the Leafs now, we have a good group of defenders aged 25 or under. Schenn and Phaneuf are already NHL regulars (and Dion is looking better and better each week), and then the Leafs have Gunnarson and Aulie who are looking like they are close to being NHL ready. Gardiner joins Blacker and Gysbers as good prospects coming up.
  2. The Orioles have an interesting line-up going into the new season. If Derek Lee can have a comeback year, then mixing him in with Vlad, Nick Markakis and Brian Roberts could create a very potent offence. Mark Reynolds is a slugger, but we will see if he can adjust to AL pitching. I don't like his 200+ strikeouts each year, and it could go even higher against pitchers he hasn't seen. Adam Jones and Matt Weiters could also improve as they continue to grow into top level players. I think the Orioles will struggle a bit, since they haven't improved the bullpen and their pitchers are all young. I think the Orioles will be much better then last season and take a leap, becoming a 80 win team. I also see Toronto pushing 90, with Tampa coming down to 80.
  3. I am cheering for Vitor. I like Silva, but I think it is time for Silva to lose. He has been the champion for so long that, in my mind, he has lost focus.
  4. The Leafs have sent Jonas Gustavsson to the AHL on a conditioning stint, so it looks like Reimer and Giggy will be carrying the work load for the next two weeks.
  5. Tim Brent put on a shot blocking clinic tonight. That 30 seconds or so of action changed my mood entirely about the season. Sure, the team is struggling and will be lucky to be even six points out of a playoff spot, but it is still fun to watch the games when you see a player like Brent put forth such an amazing effort.
  6. I like Kessel getting picked last. He seemed to have a good sense of humour about it, donated some money to cancer research, and now has motivation to score 9 goals in the game today.
  7. Which game are you going to play? I like what I see from MLB 11: The Show. It was my favourite game of the year for 2010 and they are now implementing analog pitching and batting. Upgrades to the franchise mode will make player movement and development more realistic. MLB 2K11 is also an improving game. I know that MLB 2K10 was not as good as The Show, but it was more playable then 2K9 and hopefully gets better with this new installment. This could be a good year for video game baseball fans.
  8. http://leafsfanforever.blogspot.com/2011/01/time-for-change.html I updated my blog for the first time in forever. Why does Dwayne Roloson always beat the Leafs?
  9. The Jays have sent Mike Napoli to Texas for reliever Frank Francisco and cash. http://tsn.ca/mlb/story/?id=351016
  10. I wasn't paying attention. Did they pull Cutler or was he hurt?
  11. Mitrione looked like a completely different (and better) fighter then he was in his first fights in the UFC. I would like to see him face someone like Kongo to see if he really does have some talent.
  12. I'm now using a silenced FAMAS with Ghost, Sleight of Hand Pro and Hacker. It's working very well for me. Getting Ghost and Hacker Pro will definitely be cool.
  13. It looks like the Islanders have grabbed Nabokov. For the low price, I don't see why any team with issues in net would not take a chance on him.
  14. I wonder where Rivera fits into the Jays plans.
  15. I actually liked Wells, but his contract was awful and tied down a lot of money that the Jays could have used elsewhere. I guess Rajai Davis will be the front runner to fill the void in center field.
  16. Wow. I'm buying this the day it comes out. I don't care that it took 13 years to come out. It could rock or it could suck. It's new Duke Nukem, and that is all I care about.

Later on, you definitely need to get a feel for stuffing takedowns and stopping transitions on the ground.
  18. The Rangers and Gaborik kicked Toronto's ass. I hope Ron Wilson isn't ruining Jonas Gustavsson. He is having a tough year, but he could still be our goaltender of the future.
  19. Who do the Bills go with in the first round? Where do they pick?
  20. This looks cool to me. An arcade style fighting game based on the WWE, with over the top action and quick gameplay. I'm going to be watching for more news on this. Oh yeah!
  21. It was just that I kept getting turned around and lost, and then I didn't know what to do at times so I ended up using a ton of RadAway and then almost died from Radiation Poisoning. It just took me forever.
  22. I'm really liking the Marksman Carbine. Also, Vault 34 is a pain in the ass.
  23. I agree. Title or no title, this still could be a fantastic event to see.
  24. Leafs just crushed the Thrashers. This season has sucked, so it was fun to have one of these games go our way finally.

Right trigger. Even though you are blocking, damage still gets through. If you get cornered, you can get easily knocked down despite blocking every blow.
