  1. I'm not sure if paying them is a solution, but I do think student athletes should be able to make money for themselves with personal appearances and selling signed merchandise.
  2. Anyone else find it amusing that, as of today, Jose Bautista is on pace to hit 74 home runs and break the home run record?
  3. I beat the Oakland Mariners with the Seattle Mariners, and I also signed up for Netflix.

First person. I grew up playing Duke Nukem 3D and Return To Castle Wolfenstein, and I still enjoy playing FPS games like Call of Duty. I mostly play sports games though, which usually utilize a top down view or side angle view.

I don't know...Scorpion has some of the most dirty and effective moves in the game. It's incredibly easy to put together some huge combos involving the spear throw, his teleporting punch, his throw and his sword attack to begin a juggle.

Quan Chi is tough. Fight defensively against him and look to hurt him after blocking his teleporting stomp move.
  7. I only watched a little bit of the Jays game, saw they were getting crushed, and changed the channel. If I knew Verlander was working on a no-hitter, I would have watched more of the game.

Among the many reasons for that being bullshit is the move Sheeva and Kintaro have where they jump in the air and stomp you, because it's a) unblockable and b) if you jump out of the way, THEY STILL GET YOU. They fucking HOME IN on you. To avoid that move, jump towards them instead of away. Or, wait a second and teleport if your using a character with a teleporting move.
  9. Things are not looking good for the Canadiens right now! Nevermind, PK just tied it.
  10. I cannot root for a team that consistently makes the playoffs despite a limited budget (Nashville). It makes my team look bad!
  11. Vancouver gets Nashville in the second round? I like Vancouver's chances in that one. I do not see Nashville winning more then one game. I'm not rooting for Vancouver to win the Stanley Cup. I'm not joining any bandwagon and I don't really have a cheering interest in any of the teams remaining. I was happy to see the Canucks get over the hump against Chicago, but I probably won't watch much more of their games. I'd like to see Joe Thornton win the Stanley Cup, and Detroit may be the only team I am actively cheering against, so I might watch some of the Sharks/Wings series.
  12. Finally, the Canucks beat Chicago. It has to feel good for the Canucks fans. Who do they get in Round 2?
  13. I'm thinking Vancouver wins it tomorrow. I just think they have better depth throughout the line-up, and if they can keep Chicago off the board for the first ten minutes, then they should regain their confidence. I don't think it matters if Luongo or Schneider starts. They are both very capable.
  14. Brendan Morrow has 9 strikeouts through 5 innings, and Jose Bautista has two one-run home runs. It's 2-2 Jays and Rays.

Are there stage fatalities? If so, how do you do them?
  16. Sweet walk off double from Travis Snider to end the game. Nova looked awful.
  17. I've had plenty of 15-20 hit games. I've yet to hit for the cycle!
  18. I may have a new favourite golfer! As a golfer who has questionable talent, I can relate to that experience.

That was really cool. It looked good, and I am excited to see the next episode.
  20. Since it was a late game, I went to bed when the score was 5-0. I assumed incorrectly that the bullpen would be able to stop the Mariners from coming back.
  21. I would probably prefer Montreal losing in the first round.
  22. You'll take Brett Lebda and you'll like it!
  23. I disagree it'd be 'just because' - how many times have we heard the '#1 CENTRE' clarion call? - but I'm not sure where I stand on Richards. My absolute ideal scenario would be a short-term deal: give him maybe two years at 7+ and evaluate his health and skills then, but that's never going to happen with Glen Sather in charge in New York, disappointingly. I think it's a myth that the Leafs need a #1 centre. Grabbo is our guy, and will be centering Kulemin and MacArthur next year. What is needed is a centre with size to create space for Lupul and Kessel, and play in front of the net on the powerplay. Of course, trading for Stastny or signing Richards would help. I just don't think the time is right to make a big, expensive move.
