I think the Nets should keep Lopez and Humphries. They can build around Johnson and Williams and still remain flexible to add a piece if they need to.

I think Jagr should go to Pittsburgh. That would be pretty cool to see, Crosby or Malkin setting up Jagr.

I liked Colby but he just couldn't stay healthy. I hope he signs somewhere and is a good contributor for them. The buy out saves $2 million this season so its not too bad.

If the rumours are true, what Gillis wants from Florida is insane. Considering age and contract, the price for Lou shouldnt be astronomical.

It's not a good contract, but the one thing that saves it is that since Luongo signed it before 35, the contract disappears when Lou retires. So, if he is effect for 3 more years, turns to shit then retires, at least the contract comes off the cap. Still, not that awesome.

Asking price for Lou seems astronomical. If I were Burke, I'd be content to run Reimer and Scrivens and hope one can be decent all season long, or move on to other teams. Giving up Jake Gardiner plus a roster player plus a 1st rounder is too much for a 33 year old with a 10 year contract.

Schenn might be a bit better with Philly. JVR could be really good - the only thing is that the move doesnt address the need for a top center or a goaltender. I hope one more move is coming...

I like Edmonton taking Yakupov. If they are close to competitive at the end of next year, they can move Gagner or another forward to better their defence. A full healthy season from Whitney would be good too.

I like the pick. If Burke ranked him so highly, I trust that. I think forward is a better bet so high in the draft but I still think its good.

Galchenyuk is who I am hoping for. Yakupov doesnt pass Columbus. Edmonton will probably grab him, but if they dont Columbus would LOVE him.

I'm pretty excited about the upcoming draft. I think the Leafs are set to get a great player with the 5th pick. I bet Burke would love to move up, but he always wants to. I don't see Edmonton or Columbus wanting to lose their picks.

I love that Philly shipped out Carter and Richards, and now they both have won the Cup while Philly is stuck with a crazy goalie. A full season of Carter and Richards with Kopitar, Brown and Doughty should be fun.

AHL performances can be deceiving. Players improve there mainly because they grow up and play big minutes. The numbers they put up, good or bad, sometimes do not translate. Scrivens could be useful, but the Leafs need him to not play in the NHL next year. Reimer needs to take the next step, or a veteran needs to be brought in to share the workload.
