  1. I think it's a pretty good signing. $750,000 per year for 2 years. He's a tough, character guy on a team that's getting younger. Those are essential pieces to keep the morale up and to make sure that the young guys are protected. I'm a pretty big McGrattan fan, actually. The little things he does for the team are hard to replace. It's actually a better deal then the one Nonis handed to Colton Orr, so at least there is that.
  2. I just don't really see why the Leafs cut Grabbo. Not one other team was willing to offer a pick for him?
  3. I don't mind Bozak, and I am kind of sick of the whole first line centre stuff. Look at the success of Lupul and Kessel with Bozak. I don't think he is a $5 mil a year guy, but I don't mind him playing with those two guys. People are too attached to fitting people into spots, where I think the Leafs play with 3 lines they can evenly rotate. Also, I think Boston got a ton for Seguin. He might go on to success in Dallas, but the Bruins added a few good pieces. Danny Briere is going to Montreal. Its a pretty low risk move.
  4. Well, the Leafs also seem to be interested in Rob Scuderi and David Clarkson. I am not sold 100% on Clarkson, but I think getting Scuderi would be a very good addition to the team.
  5. So... It looks like Grabbo is being bought out. Ughh. I don't like that.
  6. I work in a comic book store. The trade for the current run of Hawkeye is the easiest sell in the store. We can't keep it on the shelves, it's such a fun read that we recommend to everyone.
  7. I kept hearing yesterday that Real Sports, the bar and restaurant next to the ACC in Toronto, made more in revenue last year then the Coyotes.
  8. With Bolland now with the team, I could see Grabbo having a bounce back season since he won't be getting all the tough defensive draws. Still, if the Leafs could trade him, it would create more needed cap space.
  9. I think the hiring of Torterella is a win-now move, so keeping Loungo also makes sense. If Nathan Horton is going to test free agency, I think the Canucks would love to get him (if they can free some cap space).
  10. Is it sad that I marked out a little? I did too!
  11. Age of Ultron's ending was a bit disappointing.
  12. Good move. He took the fall in Vancouver, but is a good coach. Better then Torts, at least.
  13. Its better now. The last issue, with Spider-Man, was fantastic.
  14. I have no interest in see Boston win again, so I am cheering for Chicago. When is game one?
  15. Read Ten Grand. It's really good, and features some cool art too.
  16. In round one, Boston had a few of their key players underperforming. I give all the credit for them winning the series to Tuukka Rask. James Reimer pushed the series to 7, but Rask won the series.
  17. From whats left, I want to see Chicago and Pittsburgh in the finals.
  18. So I got The Show. My Oakland A's lead the AL West by about 8 games. As a team, we lead all of baseball in hitting and are top 5 in all offensive stats except walks (we are still in the top half there). My only moves so far were to trade Jemile Weeks to LA for Dee Gordon, who I moved to second. I also signed Jose Valverde to add some bullpen depth. Chris Young was going to be strictly a part time DH and spot starter in the outfield, but I had to find a spot for him to play everyday because he was on fire. I moved Cespedes to 3B (which increased his overall) and start Young in LF. It has been a good move so far, and both would be leading vote getters for the All-Star Team if Cespedes hadn't got injured.
  19. Is Animal Man in the game?
  20. I am now hoping Pittsburgh goes to the finals. Not really sure who I am cheering for in the West now.
  21. I absolutely loved the movie.
