Plus, Buffalo can flip Moulson at the deadline for even more draft picks. It's the first really good move by the Sabres in awhile. Even if Vanek is awesome in New York, I doubt the Islanders will make the playoffs. Not with the new playoff seeding.

I think Buffalo made out well in the deal. I see Vanek as a slight upgrade on Moulson, but this deal doesn't address the real needs of the Islanders. Plus, Buffalo gets a first round pick that could be a top ten pick in the draft.

Kessel has had a good three games, hopefully he stays this hot for awhile. Reimer was fantastic too.

I don't think Calgary makes the playoffs, but they are doing better then expectations. Until they get a real goaltender and a few more top tier players, the best thing you can hope for is a team that works hard. If Monahan is getting good minutes and is competitive, then it won't hurt him to stay.

That was a fantastic, back and forth game. It's awesome to see both JVR and Lupul starting the season strong, and Kadri also played well. Both Dubnyk and Bernier made mistakes. I'm sure we will see Reimer on Tuesday.

It was the same last year when Yakupov scored his first ever as a winner in OT. Unless your actively taunting the other team, I don't see the big deal with celebrating a goal.

Bernier got the shut out tonight, so Toronto is off the a good start. Cody Franson got shoved into the stanchion by Mike Fisher and was bleeding all over the place. I hope he is alright.

Yeah, I agree. I'm 50 games in and Nathan Horton leads my team with over 100 PIMs. It seems like he has had to fight at least once per game!

Yeah, I don't know why Gaborik had such high trade value. I almost did Landeskog and Duchene plus Barrie for Gaborik and Ottawa's 1st, but felt like that one went too far.

Playing now as Columbus as my Florida game is unavailable. Before the first game, traded a goaltending prospect and second rounder to St Louis for Shattenkirk. We start out hot but by Jan 1st, are battling for 8th. I decide to make some moves. First, Ottawa offers me their first and second picks in 2015 for James Wisniewski. I take that deal right away. With Gaborik a UFA after the year, I decide to move him too. I offer him and Artem Anisimov to Colorado for Duchene, Tyson Barrie and their first round pick in 2014. They take the deal. Finally, I grabbed Vladmir Sobotka from St Louis for a 2nd round pick. Overall, I like my team better now. They are probably a little worse now, but with Duchene and Shattenkirk getting better and some cap space free for the off season, I should be able to make some moves and become a much better team. All I need is a top line left winger, since I would prefer to play Umberger on the second line.

I don't know how or why Calgary decided to enter the season with Ramo and Joey Mac as their starters, unless they are planning to tank this year (which they should probably do anyway).

Toronto has looked shaky defensively through the first three games. The goaltending is the reason for the 3-0 start.

10 games sucks, but I actually think the Leafs have enough depth for once so it should be okay. I just hope Kessel is in the line up for the opener.

Supposedly he told Kessel "I am going to jump you", which is why Kessel backed away then started swinging.

I have honestly not seen it in my games. If I cruise ahead to a three or four goal lead, they might get a weak one near the end of the game. I've not really encountered cheap feeling comebacks though.

I am enjoying this years game more then last. Although they happen a little too often, the new fighting engine and the way fights start are great. I also feel like the new one button dekes feel natural and I've scored a few times with a quick toe drag into the slot. I do feel like they have barely updated player ratings in years, though. Also, I'm sick and tired of seeing the same two goalie masks for each team. I don't need the real life ones, I just want some variety.

I think Burke lost his job in Toronto because of the ownership changes. If they were unhappy with his job performance in terms of the on ice product, they would not have left him there to make trades (like the one for JVR), sign free agents and draft. They would have dumped him as soon as the 2011/12 season ended.

I decided to just build a new stadium in Buffalo after EJ Manuel won the ROTY and helped me win the AFC East. My defence is one of the 5 best in the NFL now. My only issue 3 games in to season 2 is CJ Spiller. He is awesome, but constantly hurt. I'm debating whether to trade him in the offseason or not. Luckily for me, the 49ers cut Gore and I was able to replace CJ for the 7 games he is missing with a dislocated ankle. Oh yeah, I forgot. Mario Williams broke the single season sack record with 30, including 6 in one game. Three came in one drive!

For me, passing boils down to patience and exploiting match ups. I'll never chuck the ball deep against Revis, but if I notice my receiver is one on one with press coverage and only one safety over top, I will take a shot down field. Otherwise, I stick to 15-20 yard routes, and use my tight end and running backs in case the coverage is too tight.

As someone who works in a comic book store... Fuck DC's Villians Month. It's such a pain in the ass, and this is only week one.

I just stream music on my phone while playing now. Even the menu music is super repetitive!

I am playing as the Bills, but I can't keep Spiller on the field. I am 8 games in, and Spiller has played maybe 2.5 games.
