Firing Torts was smart. Linden probably has already talked to several potential GMs, and I doubt any of them wanted to come in and have to go through all the shit that Torts did again. I just picked up NBA 2K14. It's great. Fantastic game. Tanked with the 76ers in year one, drafted Embiid and signed Dwayne Wade, plus got Caron Butler and Kirk Hinrich for my bench. Suddenly I have the 3rd best defence in the NBA with Carter-Williams being an All-NBA defender and Noel moving to Power Forward. Of course, game four of the season, torn MCL for MCW.

I've only been a real fan since 2005/06, myself. Was only a casual fan before that. So as a fan that watches every Leafs game I've only got 1 playoff series. That's it.

It's the best baseball game each year, looks amazing, and is one of the highest rated games each year.

Sometimes, Michael Bradley just looks like he is playing against kids or something. He is so good. He changes the look of TFC going forward and defending.

Well, looks like the Leafs are done. Columbus would need to go 2-3, Jersey would have to lose, and the Leafs would need to win all three remaining.

Just when the Leafs needed them to win, too. I'm on board with Columbus making it. Toronto needs to clean house, if they claw back into the playoffs it will save some jobs that shouldn't be saved. Truth - It's almost like you hate to be that team that barely makes it every year and is out in the first round. Look at the 76ers over in the NBA. They totally dismantled their team and are tanking in hopes of getting a superstar. Totally different sports, with different variables involved (a lot more players on a hockey team), but it's a similar idea where the fans want them to just be so bad that improvement eventually comes out of it. I don't know if that made any sense at all, I'm rambling. But without actually seeing last night's game, The Flyers have been playing really well recently, but just haven't been able to close out games. It's incredibly frustrating. Hockey is different. You can retool in one off season and go from 10th to 3rd. There is more parity in hockey then basketball, and it takes smart drafting over several years to build, so tanking is not as palatable. I want the Leafs to make it in, but I want Carlyle gone.
