  1. Just crushed the Yankees with the Jays 14-5. Justin Smoak had a pinch hit grand slam. I love the small differences in animations.
  2. I'm so excited to pick this up after work.
  3. Bernier - do you resign him or move him? There seemed to be some interest from other teams. Do you see him as an average starter or is he more?
  4. I can't remember his name, but one of Columbus's goal scorers celebrated a goal by recreating the old logo with 2 fans. It was glorious.
  5. So disappointed to hear about Stroman's injury. I guess this does open up another spot for Daniel Norris or Aaron Sanchez to grab, though.
  6. Meh? Doesn't matter. Robidas has been a bust anyways. Assuming the Leafs brass doesn't get jumpy and try to jumpstart the rebuild, the defence is probably going to be terrible next season once you get passed Reilly, Gardiner, and Dion.
  7. Who would you rather have as your big name DP? David Villa or Kaka? Both are players that have been all-world at previous points in their careers. I'm not as informed when it comes to football, so I'm interested to know what people think. EDIT - I think Diskerud and Lampard could be dynamite together.
  8. I'm excited to see how Giovinco and Altidore fit into the squad. Bradley is now going to able to be a holding midfielder and his long passing is a big plus going forward.
  9. That's pretty awesome - it's a video involving a Canadian team, but it's not available in my region.
  10. This also eats up a good chunk of the Bills' cap space. McCoy is talented, and the new offence needs talented running backs. But I think the Bills could have found a back in the third or fourth round that would both run well and save dollars on the cap. Kiko was great in 2013, but I'm guessing he was seen as expendable since the defence was so good in 2014 without him. But who is replacing the production of Jerry Hughes? And can Kyle Williams continue to play well? If you assume that the Bills are giving EJ another shot to be the starting QB, then the Bills now need a tight end, offensive line help, a defensive end, a middle linebacker, and a safety.
  11. I'm way too frustrated with Madden. I'm out of the league. Sorry if this screws anything up, I am just not having any fun playing the game anymore.
  12. I think Duclair is a fantastic prospect. Good move by the Coyotes. I also think the Rangers made a good deal, and are hoping to go deep in the playoffs again. TSN and Rogers must be pissed off to see all these deals happen before their deadline specials.
  13. Just played Dead of Winter. It's good, but we only had 3 people. I think with 4 or 5, you would get more of the paranoia about potential traitors. Still, the game was a blast. We just barely won.
  14. Yeah, second round is a decent return. The fourth is cake. Sill doesn't sound like much of a prospect, was probably added in to balance contracts.
  15. I just bought Dead Of Winter as well. Excited to play it. Anyone play Galaxy Trucker? I did this weekend, and thought it was awesome. Watching a meteor hit someone's ship in the perfect spot that made it fall apart was hilarious.
  16. Sorry, should have mentioned this before - I'm simming my CPU games until the middle of the season. I'll play against people, and if I need to really fight for the playoffs.
  17. I've not followed it that closely to know everything, so I appreciate this thread. To be honest, I think the only real thing GamerGate has really achieved is making it easy for people to attack gamers. It's reinforced the stereotype, and that's the part of the story that's been covered by the major news outlets. Even if the ones doing the bad stuff are the vocal minority, that minority has done damage.
  18. I don't get why people would be bothered by the "death of gamers". It's true in a way. Playing video games is no longer some taboo "nerd" thing or just for male children. Video games are almost as ubiquitous as TV and movies, and games are played by almost every demographic. Also, who uses video game review sites anymore? If you want to know if a game is any good, you go to Twitter or a variety of other sources. If people are so concerned with the ethics of video game journalism, then create an alternative. Most video game sites are owned by large corporations. Their goals are to generate profit. It's obvious and has been obvious for YEARS. That's why I don't understand why this Gamer Gate thing suddenly becoming a thing last year. My last comment - how come everyone attacked Zoe Quinn for "sleeping with a reviewer", but no one criticized the reviewer for the same thing? If a New York Times writer was found to be taking bribes for good coverage, the writer would be the one feeling the heat. Not the people bribing him/her.
