Even with Cormier / Johnson as the main event, that card looked a bit weak. I wonder if they can find a new main event now. -

Looks like the Jays have picked up Kendrys Morales. This doesn't mean that Edwin is gone though. I would think that Bautista is.

What's a good to team to manage in the Premier League? I want to manage a team that's expected to be in the bottom half. Hopefully keep them from relegation, then work towards a spot in Europe in season 2 or 3.

It wasn't much of a show anyways. Andersen and Talbot were solid, but Matthews and McDavid were both kept relatively quiet.

Fun to watch Patrick Laine explode for 3 goals last night. The end of the game was perfect - Matthews streaks between the defenders for a breakaway but is turned aside, then the puck comes back down the ice and Laine roofs the winner.

I hope they vote against it. Public money paying for these stadiums is just so stupid, and it almost never works out. EDIT - well, except for the team owners.

I don't think any of the Leafs fans on this board think the Leafs are making the playoffs, I think they can get 8th if literally everything goes right, and a lot of other teams fall off. And that's not likely.

The line of JVR / Bozak / Marner was good. Hyman / Matthews / Nylander was effective too.

Neither team seemed to interested in playing strong defence in the Leafs / Sens game. What's lost in Matthews strong start is that Nylander and Marner had great games as well. Marner in particular was a noticeable threat every time he touched the puck.

I'm excited for this season. Not expecting a playoff spot for the Maple Leafs, but they should be a more entertaining team then last year. It will be interesting to see how Marner, Matthews, and Nylander all perform and if they are ready to be important players for this team right away.

I am playing a franchise as the Devils...and my god - Taylor Hall is a goal scoring god. Wrist shot to the top corner, blocker side is pretty much a cheat code.

One thing I dislike is the Jersey creation options when relocating a team. I really don't like any of the custom logos they have.

I picked it up. As I thought, the menus are much improved and that really helps me to enjoy running Franchise Mode. The game play seems similar to last year, although in my experiences so far the AI has been a bit tougher to play against. That's a good thing.

The thing that killed last years game was how slow the menus took. Changing up the lines and making roster moves was a huge pain in the butt. I've seen some stuff online and the menus look better. Relocation looks like a fun option. I'm still 50/50 on picking it up or just sticking with Madden for my sports kick.

I hate this story. It's so dumb. If they scanned the crowd, they could probably find numerous people sitting or farting or stuffing their faces with nachos during the anthem.

Yeah, I guess the hope is that it was the defences that held up, and not just two awful offences showing off their inability to move the ball.

The Bills game against Baltimore was so annoying for me to watch. The defence looked good, but suddenly the offence just could not move the ball. They could have won that game.

I know another Patriots Superbowl win would be a bit annoying...but wouldn't it be worth it to see Goodell have to hand the trophy to Brady and Belichick?
