  1. The Playstation 2 I got on launch died in ONE DAY. The second one we got on refund lasted 6 months until it started freezing and not reading discs over and over. The XBox we got on launch did the same thing, it got to a point where I couldn't stand it. Got $75 on trade, and bought a refurbished one for cheap that has lasted about 1 year so far.
  2. I think that Toronto can survive with players out injured. They did it in 2003/04 with Mogilny and Nolan missing alot. But Sundin? That's a huge blow. I think people aren't giving the Leafs enough credit, but unless they play each game with heart and a lot of determination, without Sundin it's an uphill battle. Montreal is tied 2 - 2 against New York in the 2nd. NY is taking way too many penalties though, they already gave up one PP goal and I think that if they keep going to the box, they will lose.

    NHL 2006

The manual aim, with the aiming icon on, is really easy, use it to help direct where the rebounds will go when you take shots from the point. To stop people from scoring, you need to block passes. One timers are the main way the CPU and other players score, so you need to stop passes from going across the crease. Also, don't let star players skate on your net, you need to at least hit him or poke the puck. The stars have a unnerving ability to find the back of the net..... Take a lot of point shots, use one-timers on the rush and remember - the new superstar moves are your friend.
  4. I think Toronto's new players looked really good on the ice, especially Lindros. I think he was pissed off when Ottawa scored for the second time, judging by that last hit. If Toronto had Sundin on the powerplay, they would have won. He creates so many opportunities with his passing and his physical strength, he can usually just muscle his way to the front of the net and put a shot on net. I also think that Toronto was too passive on the powerplay after scoring the first goal, I think they took 7 shots of 8 or 9 powerplays. You should be able to score 5 on 3 or at least get some great opportunities, but Toronto didn't. Ottawa deserves alot of credit, they didn't give up and managed to steal a win away from a divisional rival.
  5. Personally, I enjoy An Answer Can Be Found over IDR, just because I have listened to IDR for two years straight, and change is good.
  6. CKY is awesome. I saw them September 2nd in Toronto with Fireball Ministry. It was the best show I have ever seen. Just amazing. Reaffirmed for me that my favorite band is CKY.
  7. I voted Batman & Robin. Besides the obvious unintentionally funny moments (especially on the part of Arnold), if you don't think about it this movie can be kind of fun to watch. You just need to block out some of the suck.
  8. I'd also say CKY. They are my absolute favorite band, own every CD and I got the Videos DVD the day it was released.....I skipped school to get it. A lot of people associate the band too closely to Bam Margera and Jackass, and they are labelled as "skate punks" or "the Jackass band". Most people won't listen to them at all, I know this from experience, just because of that. But, they are not a punk band. They are rock. They are banned from Rolling Stone magazine and rarely get any press, but they are amazing live ( Toronto, Sept 2nd was the best day of my life ) and have diehard fans ( the CKY Alliance ).
  9. Yeah, I don't think the Leafs are fucked. They had some huge injury problems last year and managed to battle through. As long as Jason Allison can still play (as he has been out for 2 and 1/2 years with a strange groin problem) and the rest of the team plays as well as they did last year, the Leafs will make the playoffs.
  10. The second season is out on DVD October 11th, I am waiting impatiently. Fuck my class tomorrow, I am taking my laptop and watching Arrested Development Season 1.
  11. Check out my thread below. People make some good points, and I even started a poll!
  12. On the hardest difficulty in NHL 06, I usually have scores like 4-2, 5-3. I love this game. And, after looking at the IGN Boards, I love EWB. All the people on there are blind fanboys who just say "NHL 2K6 SUX" or "NHL 06 blow cause it sucks", people here actually form opinions. It's nice.
  13. I am shocked. Where's Purple Rain?
  14. I'm loving this show still! It's on 8 pm on FOX. Who's watching? Oh, and Charlize Theron is guest starring. Gob - "What is this I'm feeling?" Micheal - "Could it be love?" Gob - "No, Micheal, I know what an erection feels like."
  15. Nobody has said the Rock 'Em, Sock 'Em series for there R titles yet. Thats sad.
  16. You can tell how much I know about "football". When I saw the title of this thread, I though it was someone asking about hockey skates but they didn't actually know to call them that. Oh well. I don't think these metal tipped studs are needed. If they are more dangerous, then they are not needed.
  17. For anyone getting the three pack, take note. Play the games in order, or you will be dissapointed. If you play San Andreas first, you will then see all of the stuff that wasn't in GTA 3 or Vice City, which could hurt your rating of the game.
  18. I didn't like it, just because alot of the jokes just weren't funny to me.
  19. Best sub 3 minute song: CKY - Sporadic Movement (Especially when you hear it live....it's nuts!) Best plus 7 minute song: Metallica - ...And Justice For All (9:46) Best use of guitars in a band (not in an individual song, and not a guitairst...just the name of the band who uses the guitars to thier best in your opinion) : Metallica. So many wicked guitar riffs. Best use of drums in a band (see the same as above, just with drums and not guitars ): Def Leppard(Because when I mimmick the drumming myself, I can style drive with the other hand) Best Lyricist: Deron Miller (CKY) Best Vocalist: Glenn Danzig (The Misfits, Danzig) Best Dark Band (as in, the best band with dark lyrics): The Misfits (baby-killing is dark, right?) Best Light Band (as in, best band with lighter, happier lyrics): The Bloodhound Gang Best use of emotion (simply put, the band who uses emotion best in thier music): Weezer
  20. I love seeing teams set up on the powerplay and move the puck around the boards. I love the grinding and hitting more then the finesse. So more goals or less doesn't matter, as long as players like Darcy Tucker get to work the puck along the boards and lay some guys out with nice checks.
