  1. I don't see why people continue to bring up Sundin in trade rumours. Sundin has a no-trade clause and has stated that he does not want to win the Stanley Cup, he wants to win the Stanley Cup with the Maple Leafs. And, even though he is growing older, he is still a player that can dominate at times and is highly skilled.
  2. Does anyone watch all their games, or do you guys just have them simmed instantly?
  3. I don't know if bringing in Forsberg would be wise until all of his injury problems are solved. Naslaund and Forsberg would be a pretty good pairing though. News is that Alexei Ponikarovsky will be back for tomorrow's game against the Canucks, and will be on the fourth line to start. He is having a good year so far and the Leafs need all the help they can get. Oh, and bring on the Canucks.
  4. Toronto faces Boston tonight. The Raptors are contending for the division lead, and a win tonight would go a long way. The team is finally jelling, and they are now playing some great basketball.
  5. Even taking away Chara, Jason Spezza is better then Yashin. In fact, even if Spezza had no talent, the fact that he isn't a douche makes him better then Yashin.
  6. Coliacovo is showing why he was a first round draft pick. To me, he plays like a more physical Tomas Kaberle. I am glad that, even after the loss to Carolina, Maurice stayed with Andrew Raycroft. Aubin and Raycroft have both been shakey, but I cringe whenever Aubin is in net, he is like Tim Thomas in the way he is acrobatic. He is great on some nights, but when he is slightly off it is a train wreck.
  7. NHL hockey is on right now. What the hell is on the watch other then the greatest sport of all time?
  8. First of all, Mats Sundin kicks all sorts of ass. Secondly, bringing in Beckham, whether he ends up playing well or not, is a huge coup for the MLS in terms of advertising. They now have a face, someone who ordinary sports fans can relate to or, in the very least, have heard of.
  9. This is the first game this season for the Leafs that I did not watch. Maybe I should go out and get totatally hammered more often! A 4-2 victory over the conference leading Sabres is huge. The Leafs stay above .500 and they gain some momentum going into Saturday's game versus the Canucks. Raycroft was solid tonight, but I doubt he can match Luongo on Saturday. Sundin was good. O'Neill was excellent. Steen was good. Travis Green, the newest Leaf, did his job. He won 8 of 12 faceoffs, and is expected to do that as a penalty killer. It is so huge as a team to be able to win those draws on the PK and just dump it right away. Green can help us there, and he did.
  10. Ian White is out for Toronto with a seperated shoulder. This is getting seriously bad, but Ponikarovsky is coming back as soon as Saturday (most likely next week), Tucker should be back soon and Wellwood is still listed as day to day. Toronto picked up Travis Green off of waivers. I think he can help the team, especially going into a tough stretch of games that are almost must wins for the Leafs.
  11. I think I am starting to know what it feels like to be an LA Kings fan. The Kings traditionally have always been snake-bitten with injuries year after year, and now this is two years in a row for the Leafs that we have had important players miss tons of time. Toronto's play as of late has been better. I think they are finally crawling out of the hole they fell into. They aren't playing great, but better. We shall see what happens tonight against Carolina, though. I am tired of this constant "let's hang at .500!" shit. Oh, and screw you Be. I switched the picture in my sig, and it's totally cooler then yours.
  12. Or best trade ever! The Bertuzzi trades strike me now as really, really awful. First, Todd Bertuzzi, Bryan McCabe, and a first round draft pick were traded to the Canucks for Trevor Linden. Linden goes on to have injury problems with every team he plays for before eventually coming back to Vancouver. McCabe and the pick are both used to help secure the draft picks that net the Sedin twins. Meanwhile, Bertuzzi goes on to become a hundred point scorer, and the Sedins go on to kick all kinds of ass. When Bertuzzi starts to break down, he gets traded, along with Bryan Allen and Alex Auld, for Lukas Krajicek and Roberto Luongo. Luongo immediately becomes the best goalie the Canucks have ever had and is probably enough to get them to the playoffs again. Krajicek for Allen is wash, both are 3/4 defensemen right now, and both are young. Alex Auld was last seen brawling with Ed Belfour, who is outplaying him at the age of 65. And Todd Bertuzzi? Will retire after next season due to lingering back problems. Canucks are the winners.
  13. I'm all set for watching the gold medal game tomorrow. The Leafs blew out the Bruins 10-2 after ending the first period down 2-1. Steen got his first NHL hat-trick, Stajan and Battaglia got two each, and a ton of other guys looked great. Raycroft made some big saves in the first to keep it to just two goals against. Basha, making the playoffs is hard, but we should all know that all you have to do is make it. Even an 8th place team has a shot.

  15. Chainsaw is more satisfying.
  16. Oh, I was playing with Maxx too.
  17. Mine is changing if Sundin scores tomorrow... Ottawa just annihilated the Sabres. I didn't watch the whole game, but when I stopped Comrie had two assists and Heatley had a hat trick.
  18. I wasn't playing with you guys, but holy fuck this game is awesome multiplayer. I seem to be pretty decent at it for playing for the first time online.
  19. I was going to play but the IIHF World Junior Championship distracted me.
  20. Perrault has been a surprise for them, and Mikael Tellqvist has been surprisingly steady.
  21. I don't think this signals a throwing in of the towel. The Coyotes have some depth up the middle and Kaigorodov will get to play right away with them.
  22. Comrie could be a really good player for the Senators, while Kaigorodov showed his true colours when he failed to go down the the Senators AHL team. Canada beat the USA in a shootout to advance to the gold medal game. That was an exciting game.
  23. I'm thinking of playing from early in the morning tomorrow (around 10 am ET) to 4 or 5, since this is my Christmas vacation and therefore am not required to do anything at all.

    NHL 07

I just can't play the 2K series anymore, as it still seems like the same game from 3 years ago. At least in NHL 07, you can score your goals without resorting to one timer after one timer after one timer.
