Toronto gets a really good team effort and gets the win. Andrew Raycroft has been really solid in 3 of his last 4 starts, and the special teams was just excellent.

I've been all over the standings. With 3 weeks left in the season, I have finally managed to grab first in my division away from the Hurricanes, but it is still really close between all the teams in the East. Nathan Horton leads my team in goals, and has developed into a better player then Todd Bertuzzi (who wants nearly 6 million a year to resign). Belfour has a pulled groin, so I have to play the last 12 games or so of the season with Alex Auld carrying the load.

Wellwood is out for 6 to 8 weeks because what was originally thought to be a groin pull or tweak turned out to be a sports hernia. Tucker is also going to miss more time then expected. Lame. I would love to see Toronto win at least 3 of there next 5 games. That would be a good way to start off the run to the playoffs.

Thats the joy of sports games for me. You can easily just jump into an exhibition game and have fun whenever, or you can commit a little bit of time into the franchise mode and really have fun.

I managed to get Ryan O'Marra, so I am slowly acquiring every single player who participated for Canada in this years World Junior Championships. For the playoff drive, I made two moves. My first was getting Tomas Kaberle from Toronto. His long contract doesn't bug me as he is a constant producer, although the cost was high enough that I almost didn't make the deal (Tyler Plante was the cost along with two or three fifth round picks). I could have got McCabe for the same price, but his contract is larger and I always see him as a more streaky player. My second move is still being negotiated, but I may be able to get Teemu Selanne from the struggling ducks. It would cost me a first rounder in 08', but I think he would be able to help Olli Jokinen break out of his mediocre funk.

The young stars game was kinda bland, and no one tried anything crazy in the shootout during the skills competition. Lame.

My Panthers lost 9 to 1 against the Leafs, and Olli Jokinen got a one game suspension for slashing Tucker late in the game. Pure awesome.

With Florida, Belfour is my starting goalie. Any time there is a back to back game I give Auld the second game, unless Belfour got a shutout or played amazing and I feel he may be playing hot.

I started a game as Florida, and decided that this would be the last rebuilding year. I didn't want to dump any players, but I moved some prospects and late round picks just to get some better prospects. I had a tough time deciding what to do with Anthony Stewart. He has the mental part down, and is a good player, but I was not sure if limited time in the NHL would be more beneficial then being a top liner in the AHL. I traded away Chris Gratton for the rights to Kris Letang, who is now tearing it up with Val d'Or in the QMJHL, got the rights to Darren Helm and Cory Emmerton for Ric Jackman, Janis Sprukts and a 3rd round pick. I also picked up Jakub Vojta and Juraj Mikus. 14 games in, and I lead the East with 10 wins and 20 points. Belfour has been great, Auld has been good, and I am getting offence from all of my lines.

Now that I have (finally) purchased EHM, I think that we should start up a network game. I'm still not 100% sure how to do it, but CKN says he knows. This would be awesome. If you want in, you just need version 3.0.2 and of course a copy of the game. If you want in, just list what team you want and we will go from their.

Well, then can you use XBOX Live to update the rosters in that game so you have real names instead of just the player numbers.
