I loved that episode. Everything about it was great. Season 2 continues to be just awesome.

I missed it last night, so I'm looking to catch up tonight. I've been really happy with Season 2 so far!

I always have Bejeweled or Tetris on my phone, but that's about it. It's probably because I'm in my 30s, but I'd much rather experience games on a console or PC where I can a big screen and great sound, instead of the small screen and tiny speakers on my cell phone.

Michael Bradley scored twice. TWICE. Philadelphia kind of got screwed by the ref a few times, but we also had Osorio miss a penalty so it kind of evens out. I thought the Union were better than the 3-1 score lets on.

The Matt Duchene trade to Columbus is one of those rare trades that I hate on both sides. Columbus gets Duchene, but will he be staying? And this has to mean that Panarin and Bobrovsky are staying. Ottawa got what - the 18th overall pick and some middling prospects? If they get that 2020 first rounder, then it might become a good trade for Ottawa. EDIT - Thinking about it a bit more... if the Senators move Dzingal and Stone, they might end up with multiple first round picks and the ability to either move up, or pick three good prospects. Of course, if they had not made that trade to get Duchene...

I really wanted to love Destiny. The first moment you step onto the Moon was incredible, and the controls felt satisfying. But the lack of an interesting story (likely due to the game being an MMO) stopped me from going back to it over and over again.

I'm not too worried about the lack of new features for franchise mode since I'm pretty happy with the mode as-is. I'll probably pick this up on day one again.

I'm also one of those people who just prefers sports games now. When I was younger, I was all about games where you'd sink hours and hours into it in one sitting. Now? I love being able to quickly play one or two games of baseball in The Show, then go do something else. It's just a lot harder for me to commit to these giant, expansive games.

Are you playing 5e? Fighter can be so much fun in 5e, especially at the earlier levels. And with the way the class branches out, you can keep up pretty well as you level up. Fighters are definitely underrated.

So... who saw episode one of season two? And what did you think? I really enjoyed it. The change in tone is welcome, with Pike bringing the complete opposite energy to Lorca. This episode was way stronger then the beginning of season one, and I think that episode ("The Vulcan Hello") kind of turned off some fans. I'm excited to see where this season goes. My only complaint with the episode was that scene with the landers... but it was still fun. It just felt superfluous. I guess they just felt they needed a big action scene in the middle? I dunno.

There are actually a few live-play games of Star Trek Adventures on YouTube. Shield Of Tomorrow from Geek & Sundry is probably the easiest to watch.

I'm about to start running a Star Trek Adventures game, and I'm really excited. It uses the 2D20 system from Mophidius. I've never run the system before, but because I'm so knowledgeable about the Star Trek universe, I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to react to whatever the players through my way.

That game looks so fun. I want to get it.
