I like the new jerseys. They aren't too much different if you ask me, just removing the dumb TML logo and the bottom stripes. The tighter fit takes some getting used to, but they are good.

I think it's very telling that by the fact various Ravens were injured on Monday Night that the Bengals set out to injure their stars to have the team fall apart over the course of the season. The evidence is there. You could come up with a crazy conspiracy theory about anything, you see? It only sounds like it makes sense if you want to believe it and ignore everything else.

Toronto's new jerseys are pretty much the same thing they wear now, just without a lot of the silver the was around the numbers, and without the stripes at the bottom of the jersey and the TLM logo on the shoulder. They look good, and I am glad they didn't tinker too much. Much like the Canadians, the Maple Leafs have a pretty long tradition, and straying too far from the traditional style would be met with a lot of negativity. I am pretty sure the third jersey with the old school Leafs logo and blue shoulders is being retained - I love that jersey. Also, Mark Bell is suspended for 15 games. He has been sober for 365 days, but the NHL felt it neccesary to suspend him. The Leafs and Mark Bell both seem to have accepted this, but the NHLPA is looking into all possible legal actions as they see the suspension as too harsh.

Now I want to play Super Mario World.

Played a game online, went up early over my opponent (who was the Sharks) by two with goals from Wellwood and Sundin. By the middle of the second though, he had come back. During the intermission though, there are coaching tips that change depending on what you did well and what you didnt. It said force your opponent to go to the outside and pressure him. I did this, and completely shut down the Sharks. Scored the winning goal with Tucker with some great play down low. It was awesome. I want the code to unlock the jerseys now. Also, a roster update is desperately needed already. There is no Toews or Kane on Chicago, and Toronto still has O'Neill and Peca on the roster (I fixed that in my game already).

It's the code thing. You have to get the code from EA or RBK, and I assume the code won't come out until all the jerseys are unveiled. The same thing is with the AHL teams. Also, cycling the puck is awesome. Tucker and Sundin kept moving the puck down low, and when I saw the defenceman from the slot move over to help, I sent a pass to Ponikarovsky who had set up in the slot. He got an easy goal simply because I controlled position and moved the puck like they do in real games. In overtime, I cycled between Sundin and Blake until I saw Kaberle move off the point and towards to slot. Sent the pass to him and he sent a wrist shot past Ray Emery to give me the win. It was awesome.

Toronto could be the best team in the league and Montreal the worst, it wouldn't really matter. Against each other it's always going to be some exciting and tight games.

Screenshots from IGN show that in NHL 08, the jerseys from last year are worn. I hope they release an update or something later on to unlock the newer jerseys - just missing out on Buffalo's new one last year bummed me out.

IGN has reviews up for both games as well. For the 360, NHL 08 got 8.9 while NHL 2K8 recieved 8.6, so both games are very good. It all comes down to personal preference.

I went to EB games today after hearing people had it but only to then find out they are releasing it tomorrow. I was sad... so I bought 2K8 for ps2 just because it cost $20 and had spezza on the cover. Probably won't go to class tomorrow and I will go early to eb games and pick up 08 and then play until I have to go to work.

I'm picking this up tomorrow as soon as the local EB is open for business. Can't wait, I am really excited to jump into this game.

The game just plays so smoothly and flows naturally, it reminds you of a skate video.

Marshawn Lynch showed some promise against the Broncos defence, and Paul Posluzny also looked like a solid middle linebacker for the Bills. Such a close game, the Broncos did an excellent job of shutting down any sort of deep run, while the Bills were able to stop the Broncos in many crucial situations (except in the last minute). Really, a special teams penalty against the Bills before that last drive pretty much swung the momentum completely towards Denver.

Barbara Streisand is pretty terrifying too.

Halloween II by The Misfits is a song I hate hearing when it's really dark out and I am alone.

Toskala could be upgraded, not because he isn't good (I hope he is), but because he will most likely be splitting starts for awhile with Raycroft. Other then that, your team is solid. You have some guys who have tons of potential, and a lot of locks to score. Oh, and if Shanahan and Jagr so well for you, then Gomez and Straka will do well for me.
