  1. The name sounds lame, but I don't mind the colours and I think the jerseys are okay since they just say "Oklahoma City". Maybe they should have just been the Oklahoma City Basketball Team.
  2. If they can keep giving Schenn the minutes he is getting now (he leads all rookies in ice time with over 21 minutes per game), then they should keep him. Staying with the Leafs and playing good minutes would help him learn how to defend against the best in the world. Ron Wilson consistently had him out against Sidney Crosby last game, and I didn't see Schenn get beat. If he wasn't getting ice time or doing well, I would say send him back. But he is getting the opportunity to learn how to play NHL hockey, and doing well. I say we keep him unless he gets exposed in the next 4 games and stops getting the minutes.
  3. Toronto needs to simplify on the powerplay. It's pretty sad. Instead of getting fancy at the halfboards and behind the net, lets just get the puck to the point, bodies to the net, and hammer the puck on goal. The Grabovski - Hagman - Kulemin line looked good, although they seem to have trouble actually scoring. They can create chances, but don't have the finish needed to score.
  4. Anyone up for some games after 7 pm?
  5. Diary of the Dead was okay. It was entertaining but not very satisfying.
  6. I liked what I saw of Sarah Conner Chronicles, but I think I would rather buy it on DVD and watch it at my own leisure.
  7. The Brian Urlacher Old Spice commercial is amazing.
  8. If Raycroft makes any sort of comeback, I would be amazed. Even when Toskala went out injured, he was just horrible. I supported him to my friends when he won 37 games for Toronto, but last year he was just horrible. If he plays well for Colorado this year, why couldn't he do that for Toronto last year?
  9. I just want to see a game seven.
  10. I like Dr. Pepper too. People can send some my way as well!
  11. What is with the Blackhawks firing Savard as coach after only 4 games?
  12. Martin Havlat scored a fantastic goal tonight. Also, Fabian Brunnstrom scored a hat-trick in his debut against Nashville...but a lot of the credit has to go to Brad Richards. Seeing Montreal blow a 3 goal lead made me feel better about Toronto doing it against St. Louis on Monday. At least the Canadiens managed to get the win in the shoot-out. The whole "Ring of Honour" ceremony was cool. Also, just want to mention to teams starts. The Rangers are 5-1 while Anaheim is now 0-4.
  13. I wanted him. He was going to be my next pick before we were all auto-picked. And now that I have tried to add him to my team, he has a fractured finger. Damn.
  14. They played the old music at every single opportunity last year too. But it wasn't annoying with the old music. It is with the HNIC theme.
  15. Budaj is okay. He has really benefited from the team around him being good. A few years ago I thought he was going to become a good #1 goaltender for the Avs, but it is still too soon to judge him I guess. And what is with Kiprusoff? He is off to a slow start too.
  16. NHL on TSN was great last year. Playing the HNIC theme at every single opportunity does not make it better. The music they had before was great. How much money did they spend to get the HNIC song?
  17. Hey Budaj...learn to catch the freakin' puck! He just whiffed on a catch and hand wrapped a goal for Bertuzzi.
  18. That safety he gave up was unexceptable.
  19. Now that I realize I can put Gonchar on IR, I am going to use my freed up roster spot to pick up Jason Arnott.
  20. Anyone going to be online after RAW tonight at 11:15?
  21. So sad to hear about Cherepanov's death. You always hate to hear about these situations, and it is made even worse by how young he was.
  22. It's odd when Montreal is suddenly the bigger and tougher team on the ice. A lot of Toronto's old bangers like Kilger and Belak are gone, while Montreal has added some size after getting thrashed by Philly in the playoffs. The Leafs will not be the team they were on Saturday. Montreal was just bigger and faster. A big loss to Montreal does not make me change my mind about the team. Montreal is a good team with depth and talent. They deserved to win and they did. The only way Toronto will improve is to make mistakes and then fix them. Last nights game was a good learning experience. I watched Phoenix vs. Anaheim tonight. Anyone who likes hockey and likes the Coyotes is in for a treat this year. They were flying, generating good chances and just outplayed the Ducks completely. Boedker and Turris both scored their first NHL goals, and Shane Doan was excellent. Giggy is off his game while Bryzgalov is already in mid-season form.
  23. You can listen to the radio broadcasts at NHL.com too. NHL Game Centre With that link you can purchase a subscription to that service and watch games on your PC.
  24. A healthy Patrice Bergeron means a lot to that team, and if Manny Fernandez can come back strong too, then the Bruins won't struggle to enter the playoffs. They will be safely in the playoffs and maybe closing in on the division leaders.
