Didn't the Islanders goalie get a 15 year contract? There's no reason for any deal longer than a decade, or even really more than 6-7 years. Rick DiPietro did get the monster deal, and that contract was also criticized. I don't see why you would commit so much to a play who will be 40 when the contract expires and has a history of back problems. He is a great player, for sure, but the length on that deal is stupid.

I can aim with more precision in Halo 2 on the XBOX then I can while playing Halo 2 on the PC. It is also the same with Call of Duty 2. I haven't played any of the newer CoD games on the PC, but I was big into playing CoD 2 on the internet with my PC. When I played the XBOX 360 version, I did not lose a step.

I'll try to follow it, but the games aren't shown often enough - or at least they aren't advertised. Toronto FC has a pretty awesome group of fans. The good thing is that means the team is well supported and probably makes money. The negative of that is that it is hard to get tickets.

Some of the goals were not Pogge's fault. Minnesota had a lot of 2 on 1 breaks and breakaways. Still, while his positioning was good he just seemed too eager to drop down and as you said, was a little slow moving across the crease. I know we need a goal scorer in the line-up desperately, but expect Brian Burke to build from the net out.

This is no longer true. Developers have found ways to make aiming with current controllers just as good as any mouse and keyboard combo. The only time I find it to be lacking is trying to play as a sniper...but it is the same in PC games - I just lack patience.

Because Gerber has already cleared waivers, so it is too late just to pick him up. Now, he is no longer counts against the cap for Ottawa. Calgary missed their chance to get him for free, and now that the rumour is out there, I doubt the Senators would give him up for free. Cheap, maybe. Not for free though.

Yesssssss. Pogge doesn't even need to be amazing to show he is more capable then Toskala at this point. If Pogge shows he isn't ready, then the Leafs will keep Toskala for next year. If Pogge shows he could do well at this level, Burke might look to move Toskala at the deadline or in the summer, or buy him out. I believe Niklas Backstrom is a free agent this summer. The Wild would be crazy not to sign him, but if he went to free agency and Toskala has continued to be a bust, then I would think Toronto would push hard for Backstrom.

You have to remember that the majority of sports fans are morons. There are smart fans in Toronto, but the people that call into the shows and post on the message boards are, for the most part, dumb. Anyone who has said a bad thing about Price based on the Young Stars Game doesn't understand that it was a game that did not matter with no backchecking, and that Price was obviously giving less then his all to protect himself from injuries.
