  1. That is a bad deal for Morris if you ask me.
  2. Between that and the Moore to Chicago rumours, I think somebody likes having fun with the Toronto media. The Senators could barely give Gerber away. I don't see Toronto moving him.
  3. The Leafs are trying to flip Gerber? Oh, and I love that sig, Be.
  4. Fuck? I think the Flyers just overpayed for Carcillo. Upshall and a 2nd round pick.
  5. Wasting my day with this shit...I wish I had been jerking off. It would have been a better use of my time.
  6. I can do some stealing, but I am too much of a nice guy most of the time. I get most of my loot from killing off raiders and stuff.
  7. I'm guessing Hossa will be back for the playoffs. If he was seriously injured and was going to miss the playoffs, I would expect them to bring someone in to at least improve their depth and allow them to move someone up into his spot.
  8. I almost posted "HURRY THE FUCK UP TORONTO" but decided against it.
  9. Guerin to the Penguins. I am guessing he would play with Crosby and Kunitz?
  10. Ughh. My friend Jon is suggesting that since Schenn isn't a goal scorer, he doesn't have a place on the Leafs. I don't think he understands hockey.
  11. Recchi to Boston. I don't know where he fits in their line up, but it adds depth.
  12. Nope. He can pull a Kubina and get a new number. If his asking price this summer is going to be what people expect it to be, I am not sure I want Cammalleri in Toronto. He won't be able to reproduce his numbers without good linemates. I can almost guarantee that. Even in LA he has Frolov, Kopitar and Brown, and he still wasn't producing at this level.
  13. If they lose Aucoin, then I don't see the point in getting Leopold. They lose the depth they just added.
  14. I'm guessing they want to win now. They want to make a run right now. I am also guessing Mike Cammalleri won't be returning next year.

    NFL 2009

Could we call him good then?
  16. The problem is that Toskala was playing great and even though it was unlikely, it looked like he was going to lead us on another late season playoff push. Those are always entertaining, even when they end up failing. I am a bit disappointed that, with Kaberle seemingly off the market, it is very doubtful that we get a first round pick today. Even if they weren't top five picks, getting two good forwards in the first round of the draft would be a big step forward. Hopefully we can do something in the off season and get another first round pick.
  17. I guess they want Toskala to sit and recover from injury. My problem with this is that he has just started to play his best hockey of the season.
  18. Gerber is a Leaf, Brenden Morrison is a Dallas Star. I'm going to stop posting when stuff happens, and just post my reaction to it a bit later. Don't want to have 4 people announce a move like that again, and I already got to post first regarding Leopold and Leclaire.
  19. Leopold is better then Giordano, although Giordano is good. That is great for their defensive depth, and I think Leopold may be better on the powerplay then Aucoin, at least as a passer. If this is Calgary's only move, they have improved themselves. If they somehow add Jokinen, they may become the favourite in the West. The whole "never played in the playoffs" knock on Jokinen would be really discounted by playing him with Iggy.
  20. Jordan Leopold returns to the Calgary Flames, and Colorado gets a 2nd rounder, an unnamed prospect and a spare part.
  21. Just an observation here... I was thinking about what Toronto needs, and here it is. Look at the Montreal Canadiens. They have a good team on the ice right now, but if they decided to scrap it and retool, look at the pieces they have in the system. They have the Kostitsyn brothers, two key offensive guys who could be franchise type players. They have PK Subban coming up, and he has all the tools to be a good offensive defender. And they have two good young goaltenders in Halak and Price. They have a good team now and the players to build around in the near future. Look at Toronto. Even when they had a decent team coming out of the lockout, they did not have any kind of young players they could build around. Luke Schenn is a step in the right direction. They can add players in free agency and by trades, but I would like them to add some young players they can build around for years, and I would love to see the Leafs rebuild their farm system and "restock" the cupboard.
  22. Technically there is nothing wrong with it. The way Scott Boras does business just rubs a ton of people the wrong way. He comes off as a huge slime ball. Think of what this does for the rest of the Dodgers, assuming Manny ends up there. How does the rest of the team see him, after he practically held them up at gun point for one or two extra million? I don't know if they have held themselves to it, but I believe Atlanta said earlier that they were not going to negotiate with Scott Boras ever again. That says a lot about how people see him. Oh, but this whole Manny thing has one advantage. He is a free agent at the start of the season in MLB 09: The Show!
  23. Maxx pointed out that I just posted football news in the baseball thread. I R DUMB.
