  1. There is a player on the Barrie Colts who has 7 goals in 2 games. That is so cool!
  2. I'm so excited for this season that I started a blog! The link is in my signature!
  3. I really enjoyed Community. Can't wait for the next episode!

I wish. The Big Country they are talking about is Roy Nelson.

He was being sarcastic. Kimbo trained with Bas Rutten for a time.
  6. If Cro Cop does call it a career, then I think he will have made the right move. His last few fights have been dissapointing.
  7. Every time I pound an opponent in the first half, they always come out and start crushing me in the second half offensively. I usually score and keep the lead, but it is frustrating.
  8. I've read mid-November and Burke said he was on schedule, but you are right. He could be out a little longer. I just found out that Kessel scored 36 goals despite playing on the Bruins second powerplay unit. He will get a ton of chances to shine on the top line with the Leafs. We suddenly have a top line player in our organization.
  9. It seems like a high price to me. If he can produce, he is the type of player we have been missing for awhile now. And I also remember his draft and the talk of him going #1. Burke knows more about this player then I do, so I am going to trust him for now. He won't be in a Leafs uniform until November. I'm guessing Burke saw how well Christian Hanson, Tyler Bozak and Viktor Stalberg have looked in the rookie tournament and camp and is now thinking we have some prospects in the system and that the picks were expendable. By adding Kessel and Kadri and Schenn, the Leafs have their building blocks in place. Toronto has the cap space to surround those guys with some good talent next year, and we do have Blake and Hagman and Grabovski too. If Gustavvson takes off, then watch out.
  10. Kessel is now a Maple Leaf. The Bruins got a 1st and 2nd this year and a 1st next year. Kessel signed a 5 year, $27 million contract as soon as the Leafs got his rights.
  11. That is from TSN.ca. If the price for Kessel is what was reported earlier (2 first rounders and a second rounder) then I don't like this deal. If it is just one first rounder and prospects, then it could be okay. Kessel is hurt and scored his 36 goals last year playing with one of the leagues best playmakers. He would probably be our most skilled forward, though. I think patience is neccessary. Keep the picks and just draft smart. With our improved defence and a healthy Toskala competing Gustavvson, this years Leafs squad will be much better then last year and could possibly end up with a playoff spot. If not, then we draft high again.
  12. Good to see Kadri play with skill players tonight. Last night they had him with Orr and Primeau and he didn't generate too many chances despite getting an assist. Burke has used free agency and the draft to add some good prospects to this team like Kadri and Bozak. Even a JFJ pick like Viktor Stalberg is turning heads. He seems to be faster then any other Leaf right now.

Also remember to put Comrie on the Oilers.

I think I got the hang of it now. Just killed Montreal in the season opener. Helps that Toskala was standing on his head. I love dumping the puck in and pinning the first defender back to the boards. Dump and chase is a viable option in this game! If you have some fast wingers, it can create a two on one with your two other forwards against the isolated defender. I am awful at the fighting so far.

My problem with NHL 10 is that I switched from XBOX 360 to PS3, and the controller being slightly different is actually screwing me up. However, Luke Schenn is a hit machine.
  16. Gustavvson just had a very minor heart procedure done. It is a common procedure and will probably take him out for 48 hours. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=291220

If Fred Jackson does that next week too, I think Marshawn may see some of his carries given away. Jackson was such a force out their, especially as a reciever.

So close! Damn, if it wasn't for Leodis McKelvin, Buffalo would have probably pulled out the victory. Still, this game was a good one if your a Bills fan. The offence looked much better then it did in the preseason. Fred Jackson was very good. Hopefully Posluzny isn't too hurt because the Buffalo defence needs him to be effective. Brady looked to be 100% after the first half and Moss was a monster out there!
  19. I watched Dexter Season 3 this past week and I really enjoyed it. I am a big fan of the show and cannot wait to see the next season.
  20. I only own 3 games right now. Madden 10, MLB 09: The Show and Uncharted are the games I have, and I play them in that order.
  21. I like the trade. I don't think it makes Ottawa much better, but Heatley could have had a bad influence on the rest of the roster if forced to play the season in Ottawa. Cheechoo will be a steal if he can regain his form and Michalek is good. If Heatley is ready physically and mentally, he could be very dangerous playing with Joe Thornton. I think both teams win here.
  22. Just a cool thing here...I ran a toss play to Reggie Bush. He was free from the line but had three defenders coming from the secondary to take him out. They all came in, bunched together. I spun around ALL THREE at once and ran into the endzone. Reggie Bush is a monster in that game.
  23. Reinsdorf said one of the reasons he took away his bid was he couldn't come to an agreement on a lease for Jobing.com Arena.
  24. Unless they can enter a bid that is right with Balsille's bid, I think the bankruptcy court will have to sell the team to Balsille. After that, the real shit storm will erupt.
