The whole team is playing like shit. Still, with decent goaltending at least it would be closer. We would have SOMETHING to look forward to. I can honestly say that Joey McDonald would be the better option right now. I just don't want to see Toskala in net tomorrow night. A better effort from everyone is needed, but the goal by Redden should have been stopped. The first goal by Dan Girardi should have been stopped. Heck, the disallowed goal by Kotalik shouldn't have gone in at all. The Leafs did play well for most of the second period. The rest of the time, they were a step behind.

I think that if Toskala doesn't show anything in the next 2-3 games, then his time is done. He hasn't shown ANYTHING. He was okay in the opener and has been terrible since then. The rest of the team has to take some of the blame, but Toskala has played so poorly that the games are not even close.

The Red Wings just lost Franzen for 4 months with a torn ACL.

I'll be getting L4D2 when it comes out. I'll have to ask my friend if I can use his XBOX Live account, but since we have our own apartment, I'll be able to play whenever I want unlike last time with L4D1.

That is what I was saying. Right now, Hamrlik is one of their best defencemen along with Georges and O'Byrne. I saw a lot of Hal Gill while he was a Leaf and as a Penguin. He is incredibly slow and at times would rather pokecheck then hit. On the penalty kill he is great in clearing the crease and with his long stick he can easily break up passes. He is a rock on 5-3 situations. I don't know why they pair Gill with another slow guy in Mara. They really should put Gill with someone with a little more mobility.

Basha, I don't think Bergeron will add much stability. He will help a bit on the powerplay, but there is a reason why he went unsigned for so long. He is not going to help much in the defensive end. Hal Gill has his place, but he isn't the best during 5 on 5. Gill is a good penalty killer, but a pylon when its full strength. I think O'Byrne, Georges and Hamrlik are the best defenders you have now, and that says alot. Until Markov comes back, the best defensive for the Habs is to attack and maintain possession.

Gustavsson is out for about a week with a groin injury, so Joey MacDonald has been called up from the Marlies.

I hope the Canucks take out Gionta and Cammalleri!

Tonight's game showed some progress for the Leafs. They didn't win but were much better defensively in this game. They may have focused too much on defending early in the game, but the only mistakes were from Exelby and Schenn. I believe the first Ottawa goal should have been disallowed. Even if the puck was at or a little below the bar, Donovan tomahawk chopped the puck with his stick up high. Gustavsson looked good and the powerplay has shown some skill. The Leafs just did not produce enough offence. The loss of Stalberg early on may have been a factor.

I really hope Ron Wilson can reign in the defence and keep them from getting too excited on the ice against the Senators. Whether Toskala or Gustavsson get the start, the defence needs help the goaltender.

I have to say the Red Alert 2 intro was epic. I am also a fan of the intro to on the PC.

Ron Wilson isn't saying it, but it looks like Jonas Gustavsson will be in goal tomorrow for the Leafs when they play against the Ottawa Senators.

I really hope the final game of the season sees Montreal and Toronto tied for the final spot. It would make that game so special.

The same things that cost us the first game of the season cost us this one. Our "improved" defence looked atrocious. Once Komisarek and Beauchimen calm down, things should be better. Washington is the better team, but they should not pound us like that. The 6-4 score makes it seem closer then it really was. The Leafs only played well once the game was out of reach.

I am with Basha. It was a good back and forth game. Toronto dominated for long stretches but Carey Price was on his game all night. Komisarek was brought in to help our powerplay, but he was in the box on Montreal's first goal and the late game tying goal. I think both teams looked good and bad during the game. It sucks that the Leafs did not get the extra point, but both teams deserved to get something out of that game. It was very tough and very entertaining.

Proper channels like begging and pleading and giving oral sex to Gary Bettman.

It's really a win for the NHL, since they can now adjust their bid to meet the Judge's needs. I don't think the team belongs in Glendale, Arizona. I do think that anyone that wants to own a team needs to go through the proper channels to do it. Balsille has tried three times now and failed because he did not.

I've noticed it a little in my Be A GM mode, and it's making my powerplay more effective.

I'm less worried about the 7 goals allowed by Toskala last night and more worried about the horrible defensive play in front of him.

Leafs sent Nazem Kadri back to London today. He looked good during the preseason but Coach Wilson wants him to add some more strength.

At this point, I just want to see Anderson Silva lose the belt so he can go on and play around in the other divisions.

Jonas Gustavsson made a HUGE save tonight against the Wings and made quite an impression on Leafs fans tonight. Hopefully he looks that good during the regular season.

I know. I didn't pay attention to my team until I found out I was doing well. That was in February maybe.

I am not joining the league because I know I won't follow it.
