    UFC 2010

I'm going to trade this in when something I want comes out. The fighting system is better, but the career mode is just not entertaining.
  2. Versteeg got that money because of Chicago's mistake, and it was that salary that made him expendable in Chicago. Kulemin got his money because he spent a good chunk of last season on the first line, and on a lot of nights he was one of the best Leafs on the ice - even when he didn't score. He was looking to get $3 mil per year, so $2.3 is not too bad.
  3. I just watched Silent Night, Deadly Night. For a movie that caused so much controversy, it was very tame. It is a little funny and cheesy thought, so I give it a 4/10.
  4. News at eleven? It's so annoying to read them bitch, since it is just a two year contract. It doesn't stop Toronto from doing anything.
  5. Leafs signed Brett Lebda. I don't know a thing about him, but the peeps on Pension Plan Puppets are whining that he is getting too much money.
  6. I defend Mortal Kombat as a perfectly good 90's action film when people say its terrible. It is cheesy, but so is Face/Off and Con Air and Broken Arrow...and none of those have 4 armed monster taking a punch to the balls.
  7. I believe a more plausible move would be the Devils trading one of their big contracts like Zubrus, or burying a contract in the minors. Lou has done it before, so it could happen. On a sadder note, Bob Probert has died.
  8. RIP Bob Probert.

  9. Sounds like Kovalchuk is going to re-sign with the Devils for 7 years.
  10. Carpenter has the reputation.
  11. That was a very satisfying event. A lot of very entertaining fights. I was glad I decided to order it.
  12. I think Brock proved that he can power out of submission attempts. Carwin, if he can win against one or two opponents, deserves one more shot at Brock. Still, Brock managed to win. Winning this fight after coming so close to defeat says a lot about Brock and his toughness.
  13. I hope Lesnar comes into this fight and does well. His battle with disease almost cost him his career. Now, he is ready and, according to him and his trainers, in better shape then he has ever been. I doubt he will be able to dominate the fight like he did against Mir or Herring, but I don't think Lesnar will give Carwin too many opportunities to swing away.
  14. Will there be vuvuzelas at UFC 116 tonight? I sure hope so!

  15. So I guess we don't get to see Maradona running naked through the streets...
  16. I agree, it was fun. I'd actually give it a 8 just because of all the 80's stuff that I love.
  17. I would love to see Cro Cop take on Gonzaga again. I don't think I need to see the other two fights.

    UFC 2010

There was an update for the game...what did they fix?
  19. In the end, it could all work. Right now, however, I would not be happy if I was a Flames fan.
  20. I think Sutter is having a mental breakdown, and everyone in the Flames organization is too afraid to stop him. Sheldon Souray has been placed on waivers by the Oilers. He is still a top level offensive defenceman, but his price tag is probably too much for most teams.
  21. Kubina has signed a 2 year deal with Tampa Bay. I was a big fan of his while he was with the Leafs. He was our best defender on most nights, and he always seemed to step it up in the third period or overtime. Plus, he cross-checked Jiri Hudler in the face in the preseason once...how can you not like that? It's a good deal for Tampa. If Ohlund recovers next year, then they will have a good defence with Ohlund, Kubina and Hedman.
  22. If they have, thats both crazy good and a little wierd, but to must have a good plan for managing the cap. Their defence is looking very good now.
  23. The no trade clause is the part the blows me away.
  24. Exactly. He is a bit older and slower. He is a good defender and a good faceoff man, but I don't think he adds much offensively. He put up some decent numbers on a powerful San Jose team. I think Vancouver could have used this money elsewhere and to better effect.
  25. I don't think it's a bad deal. Yes, Armstrong is getting more money then he should, but when you go and get someone in free agency you end up overpaying. Armstrong will do a lot of good things for Toronto. He isn't going to be a top forward, but he will put in good minutes on the third line. As Sean said above, it's not like this deal cripples our cap going forward. In fact, we still have enough to go for Kovalchuk if Burke wanted him and was willing to place Finger in the AHL. Pittsburgh getting Michalek is good. He is not Gonchar, but he is an underrated puck mover, solid in his own end, and a great shot blocker.
