  1. Ferguson has stated his interest in the player years ago, and every summer people would talk about that, but it was never more than simple interest. It wasn't even a transfer rumour, because of his previous "unavailable for transfer" status in Madrid. Now that he is older though, I thought that if he ever was to leave Madrid (which i'm sure he will this season) he wouldn't go to another football giant money-making club, mainly because they wouldn't want to spend the money he would earn on a 32 year old player. But then again, if not them, who would have the money to do so? Oh.. and the name is Queiroz

  4. haven't heard the new one yet, but i know it's being / it was released by century media and judging by their latest work on them it doesn't give me high hopes. Of course that may not mean anything, but if you just want to get anything from them without much risk i would suggest either picking diatribes which is an album they released on the mid-90's (not sure about the exact date) or one of their first two albums which were released in the 80's. I believe "Fear Emptiness Despair" also released in the mid 90's (once again not sure exactly when) was their most successful in terms of media attention due to being released on sony. It's the most produced album of the ones i listened to. You could also pick that one if you're into "clean" guitars. Just a question, wherever you found the record, don't they have some sort of hearing before buying system? It could help.

I probably missed a lot of albums too. Anyway, to answer the question, while i think a lot of people get best of's or singles compilations in order to get to know a band, i think they shouldn't do it. Best Of's are in my opinion collector's items. What i usually do when i'm trying to get to know a band is take a listen to their first album, to see the "true" style of the band. If the band has really been around for dozens of years though, and only in that case, i wouldn't mind getting a best of at first. As for the live albums, i don't really think anyone who doesn't know a band will start with a live album. Those are really to the fans, who already know them. About the quality of them. Best Ofs usually aren't great but there are a few who are pretty well done. Singles collections are worse (although if they're singles collection we can't expect much change), and i wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I've listened/owned bootlegs who were much better than live records put out by the band itself as part of its discography, but as some are of really low quality, i would go for Official Live Records over bootlegs anyday. There aren't much of those though.
  6. Iaquinta is a striker. Not very talented in my opinion but has the striker's fundaments, being good finisher, gets unmarked well, and has good heading of the ball. He was about to have a big move in the summer but it never happened. Nonda isn't bad. Caraciollo isn't a name i've heard often. No idea about that one. I think Juve could do better though.
  7. that's what i thought. They really lost the 2 first picks they had for this year. They also lost a second round pick for this year and both the first and second for 2007 and a second in 2008. I hope the Cavs plan EXTREMELY well their picks in 2006 since those will be the only ones they'll be seeing for the next 3 years.
  8. Crespo scored the Milan goal. Milan actually were the first to score. I don't understand how a team that is supposed to be fighting for the title manages to lose the game in the end. Even more so, when they're playing one of the last placed teams. When the lower team scores first, usually they back up to defend the score, so it's more/less acceptable that is hard to score that goal back when they're trying so hard to keep the score. But with the things going their way, how do they manage to lose? Of course this happens once in a while but it's still surprising. I have a friend that's a huge Nedved/Juve fan. He had told me last friday that Nedved retiring were just rumours and that he had a conference saying he wouldn't want to retire just yet. To be honest i too hope he doesn't retire. He was playing so well last season, that i felt he still had a few years ahead of him. As long as he gets proper treatment when the season ends, he may recover to play in full force next season, even if he misses the beggining of it. I think he should be rested earlier in the games though. The last game was already decided long before it was finished, and so i thought Nedved should have been replaced to avoid being re-injured unnecessarily. Of course, he probably wants to stay in the pitch and give it all he can (even when he can't do much), and i understand that, but both he and the Juve staff have to realise they can't jeopardise a player's career by having him play without being fully fit.

  10. The sports show reporter was saying "if you like the NBA you've got a game later tonight... and tonight's game will be between...." Throughout the whole sentence i was just saying to myself (as i hadn't seen it announced yet) "Sixers Sixers Sixers...", and he says "the Philadelphia 76ers and the Miami Heat". Ok, it may sound stupid to you, but i'm happy
